My FanDuel NHL Plays will be broken down by player positions, and will include picks for cash games (50/50s/double-ups/head-to-head) and GPPs (guaranteed prize pool tournaments).

We have three games on tap tonight, with the Chicago Blackhawks being the only sure thing. The other two games (Washington Capitals at the Detroit Red Wings, and the Vancouver Canucks at the Winnipeg Jets) are more of a coin flip in my opinion. In your cash games I suggest you get as much exposure as you can to Chicago. However, in GPPs, getting a piece of each team in action tonight is the way I would go.
Make sure to check the RotoGrinders NHL Starting Goalies Page to confirm that the goalies listed below are starting prior to game time.
Corey Crawford, Chicago Blackhawks, $8,900 – Crawford is the biggest favorite on the board and he is the only goalie I trust in cash games this evening. The Edmonton Oilers have really struggled of late and I expect the Blackhawks to control this game from puck drop. Look for 25-plus saves and the win from Crawford tonight.
Henrik Sedin, Vancouver Canucks, $5,500 - The Winnipeg Jets are a disaster right now. They have lost six consecutive games, allowing 27 goals against along the way. The Jets also lead the NHL in penalty minutes per game (14.32) and allow the league’s third-highest amount of high-danger scoring chances. Sedin has multi-point upside at a very moderate price.
Alexander Ovechkin, Washington Capitals, $9,900 - On a short slate like tonight, fading Ovechkin could ruin your night. The “Great Eight” is the most explosive scorer in the game and he has hat-trick upside on a nightly basis. The Detroit Red Wings kept him off the scoreboard in their last meeting, but he still managed to fire a ridiculous 15 shots on net. Fade Ovi at your own risk tonight.
Justin Abdelkader, Detroit Red Wings, $4,800 - In order to afford studs like Alexander Ovechkin and Patrick Kane, we will need to find some solid value plays. Abdelkader continues to skate on the Red Wings’ top line and number one power-play unit, and he is surrounded by talent. At $4,800, he makes a great value play in all formats.
Artemi Panarin, Chicago Blackhawks, $4,300 – Panarin is riding a five-game point streak and he continues to score at a point per game pace (18 PTS in 18 GP) this season. The Edmonton Oilers have allowed the third-most goals per game in the month of November and I expect Panarin to hit the score sheet again in this game. Dollar for dollar, Panarin is again my top play of the night.
Duncan Keith ($6,000) and Brent Seabrook ($5,500), Chicago Blackhawks - Once again I am picking on the Edmonton Oilers. The other two games are a little hard to predict for both where the scoring will come from, and who will win the game. In this game, I am all in on the Blackhawks. Keith and Seabrook see a ton of ice time at both even strength and on Chicago’s top power-play unit and I love their potential tonight.
