American Hockey League

Barclay Goodrow of the San Jose Barracuda has been named the AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Dec. 6. He registered four goals and three helpers in just two games to receive the honor. Goodrow had a four-point night in a 5-3 win over Stockton last Friday and he posted a hat trick versus Bakersfield on Saturday. AHL leading point getter, William Nylander, earned three goals and five points in three contests last week. He didn't have a point in Saturday's 3-1 win over Manitoba, but he posted a goal and two assists in a 9-0 victory over the Moose on Sunday. The eighth overall pick in the 2014 draft by the Maple Leafs has 29 points in 22 games this year. AHL rookie Devin Shore ranks third in the league with 25 points in 21 matches. He picked up an assist in both of his appearances last week for the Texas Stars. Shore was a second-round pick of Dallas in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Rockford's Ryan Hartman tallied four goals and added one assist in three straight wins. He has 16 points, including 10 goals, in 21 games this season. Hartman was the 30th overall selection in the 2013 draft by the Blackhawks.

National Collegiate Athletic Association

Ryan Fitzgerald had a goal and an assist against Northeastern last Sunday. He didn't earn a point in the first game of the home-and-home set. The fourth rounder of the Boston Bruins in the 2013 NHL Draft has 11 goals and 21 points in 14 games with Boston College. Brock Boeser of the University of North Dakota netted three goals in two games against Denver last week. The 23rd overall pick in the 2015 draft by Vancouver has 11 goals and 19 points in 18 contests. He was invited to Team USA's World Junior Championship selection camp. Kyle Connor was surprisingly snubbed by the USA Hockey, but the Winnipeg prospect has 16 points, including 10 assists, in 13 games with the University of Michigan this year. He picked up a goal and three helpers in two games versus Wisconsin this past weekend. Connor was the 17th overall choice in the 2015 draft. 24-year-old goaltender Michael Garteig stopped all 42 shots he faced in games against Yale and Brown last week. He has six shutouts this season for Quinnipiac University.

Europe

Karpat's Sebastian Aho had a goal and two assists in an 8-2 win over HIFK in SM-liiga action last Saturday. The Carolina Hurricanes prospect sits 11th in league scoring with 21 points in 23 games. He was selected in the second round (35th overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Another Carolina prospect is enjoying his time in Europe, as Lucas Wallmark has 19 points in 21 matches. He has two goals for Lulea HF of the Swedish Hockey League, but that has never really been his strong suit.
