We have a typically busy Tuesday night in the National Hockey League with eight games on tap and 16 teams in action. The Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals and New York Rangers are the biggest favorites on the board, and the Edmonton Oilers are the only team playing on consecutive nights.

Make sure to check the RotoGrinders NHL Starting Goalies Page to confirm that the goalies listed below are starting prior to game time.

Ben Bishop, Tampa Bay Lightning, $8,600 - I love both Henrik Lundqvist and Braden Holtby tonight, but I will take the discount and go with the Ben Bishop in my cash game lineup. Bishop has won his last three contests, stopping 71 of the 74 shots he faced and he has been dynamite on home ice (1.99 GAA, .926 SV%). Look for the 6’7” Denver, Colorado native to shut the door on an Oilers team that struggles on the road (6-14-4) and will be playing their second game in as many nights.

UPDATED NOTE: If Andrei Vasilevskiy gets the call in goal (over Bishop), start him with confidence and enjoy the discount.

Other Goalies To Target (Cash Games) – Henrik Lundqvist, Braden Holtby

Other Goalies To Target (Tournaments) – Corey Crawford, Jonathan Quick, Jonas Hiller, Steve Mason, James Reimer

Evgeny Kuznetsov, Washington Capitals, $6,700 - When the Washington Capitals offense is in a great spot like tonight, you are going to want to have exposure to both of their top two lines. The Capitals have one of the best offenses in hockey and the emergence of their second line is a big reason why. Kuznetsov is having a terrific season (44 PTS in 45 GP) and he has racked up six points in his last two games. Look for the 23-year-old Russian to stay hot in this game.

Other Centers to Target (Cash Games) – Tyler Seguin, Nicklas Backstrom, Claude Giroux, Derick Brassard, Patrice Bergeron, Anze Kopitar

Other Centers to Target (Tournaments) – Tyler Johnson, Ryan Spooner, Vladislav Namestnikov

Alexander Ovechkin, Washington Capitals, $9,200 - It is another night where you will want to pay up for Ovechkin in your cash games. The “Great Eight” is second in the league in goals and he leads the NHL in shots on net. The Columbus Blue Jackets continue to play a poor possession game, which has led them to the basement in the standings and a league-high 3.15 goals against per game. Ovi has hat trick upside in this prime matchup.

Nikita Kucherov, Tampa Bay Lightning, $6,800 - Kucherov is riding a five-game point streak, including two of the multi-point variety. He has now produced 24 points in his last 20 games and he has become the Lightning’s most consistent scorer. The Edmonton Oilers are among the bottom feeders in just about every single defensive statistic, including Corsi, high-danger scoring chances allowed and goals against per game. Kucherov has multi-point upside in this plus matchup on home ice.

Mats Zuccarello, New York Rangers, $5,500 - The Vancouver Canucks are another team that has struggled mightily in the defensive part of their game. The Canucks sit in the bottom third of the league in many defensive categories, including Corsi, scoring chances allowed and high-danger scoring against. Playing on the Blue Shirts’ number one line and top power play unit, Zuccarello will have plenty of scoring opportunities tonight. At $5,500, he is one of the top bargains available tonight.

Other Wingers to Target (Cash Games) – Steven Stamkos, Patrick Kane, Jamie Benn, Max Pacioretty, Rick Nash, Jakub Voracek, Loui Eriksson, Brendan Gallagher, Tyler Toffoli

Other Wingers to Target (Tournaments) – Johnny Gaudreau, Wayne Simmonds, Lee Stempniak, Kevin Fiala

Matt Niskanen, Washington Capitals, $4,400 - Niskanen is one of the better value plays on defense tonight. He has done a nice job filling in for the injured John Carlson and he should have a productive game against an undisciplined Columbus Blue Jackets team. Columbus leads the National Hockey League in penalty minutes per game and they have not done a very good job killing them off. Look for Niskanen to find success with the man advantage.

Other Defensemen to Target (Cash Games) – Torey Krug, P.K. Subban, Duncan Keith

Other Defensemen to Target (Tournaments) – Mark Giordano, Dan Boyle, Shayne Gostisbehere
