FanDuel NBA Bargains: Thursday

Updated On: October 4, 2018, 4:04 pm ET

When looking at “bargains” on FanDuel, typically we’ll focus on players who are priced at $6,000 or lower.

We have a tidy 5-game slate on tap tonight, meaning I will be ranking the top five bargains by priority to your FanDuel NBA lineups.

Just a quick note that these player picks were organized early in the day. For the NBA, there is usually a plethora of news trickling out through the afternoon, which could open up some more value plays. Be sure to keep posted with the NBA Headlines & Injuries section, as the wonderful contributors over there will break down the DFS consequences of every piece of news.

Now onto the bargain plays.

1 - Mirza Teletovic – PF – Phoenix (FanDuel Price: $5,100)

Mirza has carved out a nice, little role for the Suns, averaging 31 minutes and a solid 31 fantasy points over the past three. He has been a very efficient FP/minute producer throughout the season, so his fantasy potential was just a matter of seeing regular playing time. Mirza is finally getting it, and he has one of the best floor/ceiling combinations of any bargain commodity tonight. Oh, and the matchup is fantastic against a Houston team that ranks 29th in defensive efficiency vs power forwards.

2 - Ronnie Price – PG – Phoenix (FanDuel Price: $3,600)

Brandon Knight has been shut down for the season, meaning Ronnie Price is now Phoenix’s primary ball-handler. He has averaged 32 minutes within that role, hitting 22+ fantasy points in two of the past three. Price had an awful 6 fantasy point performance (despite seeing 32 minutes) at Utah last week, but that’s likely an outlier against one of the better defensive teams in the league. Price should be within his usual 25 FP range in an up-tempo draw at Houston, which would be enough to sustain value.

3 - Seth Curry – SG – Sacramento (FanDuel Price: $4,200)

The Kings are determined to give (the other) Curry minutes at shooting guard, and he has responded well to the increased role. Curry is averaging 31 minutes and 29 fantasy points in the past three games, and now he’s looking at a high-scoring matchup against Minnesota. His fantasy prospects would be boosted if Marco Belinelli and/or Darren Collison sat out again, but Curry is a decent pick for this salary either way.

4 - Zach LaVine – SG – Minnesota (FanDuel Price: $5,400)

LaVine has been up-and-down lately, sometimes taking a backseat to the Wiggins/Towns show. However, he’s still seeing 35+ minutes, and he’s fresh off a confidence-boosting 35 fantasy point performance at Golden State. Now LaVine is looking at a superb matchup against a fast-paced Sacramento team that ranks 29th in defensive efficiency against opposing shooting guards. I think we’ll see his “good side” tonight.

5 - P.J. Tucker – SF – Phoenix (FanDuel Price: $5,200)

I kept going back and forth between Nikola Mirotic (since Taj Gibson is doubtful) and P.J. Tucker for the similar salary. You could play either, but I’m giving the slight lean to Tucker in a better matchup. He faces an up-tempo Houston team that ranks in the bottom five against opposing small forwards, seeing 33+ minutes per game. He has been somewhat inconsistent as of late, but I’m hoping a well-aligned matchup will feed into his skill set and translate to a satisfying fantasy total.
