* Ken Giles reaches 50 saves as Houston's new closer, striking out 100-plus batters alongside a sub-1.20 ERA and eventually finishing second in the AL Cy Young Award balloting.

 

* Byron Buxton shakes off his dismal 2015 to produce 30 doubles, 15 triples, 35 stolen bases and 95 runs scored. He captures all 30 first-place votes for AL Rookie of the Year.
