DT: Reimer still has value

We have more injuries and struggling players this week in Drop Trends. Without further ado let's get into who was dropped the most Saturday.

James Reimer (Toronto - G)

Dropped: 1,304 times

Why? Injured at practice earlier this week and didn't dress Saturday

Recommendation: Reimer has been spectacular this month with six wins, a .949 save percentage and a 1.68 goals-against average in 11 appearances. If goaltending pickings are slim then I don't see any reason to let him go. There's definitely a regression coming, but Reimer could still be a decent option for fantasy owners looking for depth in their crease. We also still don't know how serious his undisclosed injury is, so I wouldn't be so quick to cut him loose.  Reimer should see the bulk of the action this season because Jonathan Bernier has struggled mightily.

Antti Raanta (New York Rangers - G)

Dropped: 1,273 times

Why? Made his start against Philadelphia Saturday night and will return to the bench

Recommendation: This was definitely a spot start pickup for fantasy owners and Raanta has served his purpose. He made 31 saves and allowed just two goals in the win. He owns a 4-1-0 record with a .952 save percentage and a 1.36 goals-against average in six outings with the Rangers. Raanta has been solid when called upon, but he won't see much action behind Henrik Lundqvist.

Kyle Palmieri (New Jersey - LW, RW)

Dropped: 1,270 times

Why? Appears to be slowing down

Recommendation: Palmieri has cooled off a bit with two goals and one assist in his past seven outings, but he hasn't gone more than two games without registering a point since mid-October. He potted his eighth goal of the season on Saturday and has 17 points in 23 games. I would keep him for at least a little longer depending on your options on the waiver wire.

Jason Zucker (Minnesota - LW, RW)

Dropped: 1,174 times

Why? Cooled off considerably

Recommendation: Zucker had a seven-game point streak from Oct. 22 to Nov. 5, but he has produced just one goal in his past seven contests. He has six goals and 14 points in 22 games, but his cold streak doesn't make him an attractive option right now. I don't mind the decision to drop Zucker during this cold streak, but I think he could be a popular addition again some time down the road.

Nail Yakupov (Edmonton - LW, RW)

Dropped: 735 times

Why? Sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks with an ankle sprain

Recommendation: Yakupov is currently on injured reserve, but even before that I would've been OK with fantasy owners jumping off his bandwagon. He had been skating on the third line and hadn't scored a goal since Oct. 18. Yakupov also had just two assists in his last 11 contests. He hasn't been the same since Connor McDavid was injured.
