HBD: Ovi Crushing Opponents

Alex Ovechkin has recorded 17 hits over his last three games alone, bringing him up to 75 in 24 games.  He was limited to 139 hits in 2017-18 after surpassing 200 in four consecutive campaigns, but he’s bounced right back.  Charles Hudon contributed an incredible 13 hits on Nov. 24.  He’s up to 45 hits in 20 games this season.  William Carrier has been credited with at least four hits in four consecutive games.  He’s leading the league with 122 hits in 25 contests.  Leo Komarov has accumulated 19 hits over his last four contests.  He has 73 hits in 23 games in 2018-19.




Scott Mayfield recorded at least four blocks in three of his last five games.  He has 45 blocks in 21 games, which puts him into a tie for 17th place.  Alex Goligoski blocked four shots on Nov. 21 and Nov. 25.  He has 32 blocks in 17 games after finishing 2017-18 with 154 blocks.  Christopher Tanev has contributed at least three blocks in four straight games.  That gives him 52 blocks in 21 contests.  Matt Niskanen has 15 blocks in his last four contests.  He’s up to 45 blocks in 24 games this season.



Anze Kopitar has won 49-of-86 faceoffs (57%) over his last four games.  He has a 54.9% success rate this season, up from 54.1% in 2017-18.  Luke Glendening has claimed 39-of-63 draws (61.9%) over his last four contests.  He’s won 58.3% of his faceoffs thus far after winning 58% last season.  Aleksander Barkov has won over 56% of his draws in three straight games.  He’s improved to 54.7% on the season, up from his career-high of 53.5% in 2017-18.  Mika Zibanejad won 54-of-84 draws (64.3%) over his last five games.  He has won 51.3% of his faceoffs in 2018-19 and if he maintains that then this will be his fourth straight season in the 50.5% to 52% range.
