AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE

Ivan Barbashev had a goal and an assist on Sunday, making it the second time in three contests that he's found the back of the net.  He has 19 goals and 37 points in 44 contests with the Chicago Wolves this season.  Travis Boyd has only been held off the scoresheet twice in his last eight games.  He's up to 10 markers and 35 points in 41 contests with the Hershey Bears.  Boyd's teammate, Nicklas Jensen, found the back of the net on Wednesday, giving him five goals and seven points in his last seven games.  Jensen has also played in seven games with the New York Rangers this season, though he doesn't have a point in those contests.  Yanni Gourde has recorded a point in four of his last five contests.  In 38 games with the Syracuse Crunch this season, he has 14 goals and 30 points.

NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

Mason Jobst scored three goals and registered an assist in two games last weekend.  He has 10 goals and 28 points in 22 contests with Ohio State University.  Jackson Dudley scored a pair of goals and recorded four assists in his last two games.  Prior to that, he had just three points in 13 contests with American International College this season.  Speaking of players that haven't been major offensive contributors until recently, Riley Tufte was the NCAA's first star of the week after scoring three goals and four points in two weekend games.  That brings the 18-year-old freshman up to six points in 20 games with the University of Minnesota-Duluth.  The Dallas Stars took him with the 25th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

EUROPE

This week we'll focus on the Swedish league.  Among players under the age of 24, Oskar Lindblom is by far and away the leader with 13 goals and 34 points in 37 games.  The 20-year-old was taken by the Philadelphia Flyers with the 138th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.  Sebastian Aho, not to be confused with the Sebastian Aho playing for Carolina, is the closest Under-24 player to Lindblom with nine goals and 24 points in 37 contests.  The 20-year-old defenseman finished with 16 points in 39 games last season.  Joel Kellman has 10 goals and 22 points in 38 contests in 2016-17.  The 22-year-old forward scored three goals and registered 13 assists in 47 games last season.  Marcus Hogberg has posted a 1.99 GAA and .929 save percentage in 24 contests.  The 22-year-old goalie was taken by Ottawa Senators with the 78th overall pick in the 2013 draft.
