American Hockey League

Devin Shore has found the back of the net in five straight games.  That's brought him up to 13 goals and 20 points in 17 contests with the Texas Stars.  He's also enjoyed a three-game stint with Dallas this season, although he didn't record a point during that stretch.  Brandon Montour has only been held off of the scoresheet once over his last eight contests.  He has four goals and 18 points in 16 contests in the San Diego Gulls.  Montour's teammate, Conor Sheary, has recorded an incredible 12 points over his last six games.  That's brought the Anaheim Ducks prospect up to 18 points in 16 games this season.  Dominik Simon is riding a three-game point streak and has only been held off the scoresheet once over his last eight games.  He has six goals and 15 points in 15 games this season.

National Collegiate Athletic Association

Mitch Gillam stopped 57 consecutive shots to post back-to-back shutouts last weekend.  He has a 1.59 GAA and .938 save percentage in eight contests with Cornell University this season.  Austin Farley scored four goals and seven points in just two contests over the weekend.  That's brought the 22-year-old forward up to eight goals and 13 points in 13 games in 2015-16.  Tyler Heinonen had three goals and three assists in contests on Saturday and Sunday.  He has seven goals and 12 points in 12 contests with Michigan Tech this season.

Europe

Let's talk about the Swiss League this season and there's no way to do that without bringing up Auston Matthews.  If you haven't been keeping tabs on him, he suffered a back injury on Oct. 23, but at the time of writing, his return is imminent.  Prior to getting hurt he had 10 goals and 17 points in 14 contests.  If this is the first time you've heard his name and are wondering why I'd bring up a player that's been hurt for a month, it's because he's commonly projected to be the first overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.  Among players under-24, Lino Martschini currently leads the pack with 11 goals and 25 points in 22 games with Zug.  The 22-year-old had 47 points in 50 games in 2014-15.  Samuel Walser has six goals and 14 points in 24 games with Davos.  He's 23 years old and has already surpassed his point total from 2014-15 (13 points in 47 games).  Yannick Rathgeb is the top scoring defensemen under the age of 24 in Switzerland's top league.  He has five goals and 12 points with Fribourg-Gotteron.
