Brooks Macek has been productive during his first AHL season as a member of the Chicago Wolves. The 26-year-old is tied for the league lead in goals (12) and points (19) with Zac Dalpe of the Cleveland Monsters. Macek posted three goals in two games last week, while Dalpe was named the AHL Player of the Week after he generated five goals and three assists in two outings. Dylan Sikura had two goals and one assist in three matches last week to give him 10 points in 13 matches this campaign for the Rockford IceHogs. The 23-year-old prospect of the Chicago Blackhawks is playing in his rookie AHL season. Erik Brannstrom of the Chicago Wolves is off to a strong start as well. The rookie blueliner has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 10 games. The 19-year-old prospect of the Vegas Golden Knights, who was chosen 15th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, has picked up a point in each of the past five games.
National Collegiate Athletic Association
Jarid Lukosevicius tallied five goals, including a hat trick, on nine shots in two games last week to lead the University of Denver to two wins over Western Michigan. The 23-year-old senior has seven goals and 10 points after six matches this season. Josh Norris registered three goals and one assist in a win and a loss versus Lake Superior last weekend. The University of Michigan sophomore has six goals and 12 points in seven games this season. The Ottawa Senators prospect was initially taken with the 19th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. He was traded to the Senators as part of the Erik Karlsson trade. Ryan Kuffner of Princeton University had four goals and two assists in two outings last week. The 22-year-old senior forward has six points through three contests in 2018-19. Minnesota State’s Charlie Gerard notched one goal and three helpers in a two-game sweep over Minnesota. The 22-year-old forward has generated nine points, including six assists, in eight matches.
Kontinental Hockey League
Anatoli Golyshev has compiled 19 points in 21 games for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg this season. He earned two goals and two assists in three appearances last week. The 23-year-old was chosen in the fourth round (95th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders. Kirill Kaprizov only had one helper in two matches last week, but he has 17 points in 24 contests this season with CSKA Moskva. The 21-year-old forward is the top prospect of the Minnesota Wild. He was snatched up in the fifth round (135th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft. New York Rangers draft pick Vitali Kravtsov contributed three assists in two games last week for Traktor Chelyabinsk. He has three goals and 11 points in 24 matches this campaign after he was grabbed with the ninth overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. Artyom Manukyan went 12 straight games without a point before posting four assists earlier this week. The 20-year-old forward has 11 points in 26 contests for Avangard Omsk this season. He was chosen in the sixth round (186th overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks.
