Shelby Miller earned his third victory of the season on Sunday night, working a scoreless 10th inning against the Giants.
It wasn’t the smoothest of innings for Miller — who intentionally walked Joc Pederson and allowed a single to Thairo Estrada that loaded the bases with one out. Patrick Bailey then hit a ground ball back through the middle that deflected off of Miller — right to Chris Taylor who made an unbelievable play behind second base to snare the ball, step on second base and gun to first to complete the double play. Miller has been a major asset out of the Dodgers’ bullpen this season — posting a 1.80 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and a 41/19 K/BB ratio across 39 1/3 innings.
