  • STL Relief Pitcher #71
Cardinals optioned RHP Jacob Bosiokovic to Triple-A Memphis.
Bosiokovic was added to the major league roster last Sunday, but didn’t appear in a game for the Cardinals. He has a 3.00 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 30 innings at Triple-A this year. Now that he’s on the 40-man roster, he could come back and make his major league debut later this season.
  • LAA Center Fielder #22
Angels placed OF Bryce Teodosio on the 10-day injured list with a right finger fracture.
Teodosio’s season is over. The outfielder appeared in five games while going 1-for-12 in his limited action. If healthy, Teodosio will compete for a bench spot with the Angels during spring training.
  • CLE Center Fielder #38
Steven Kwan is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Rays.
Kwan will miss a third straight game while dealing with body fatigue. The outfielder should still be considered day-to-day, but it’s a little concerning this has been more than a one-game absence.
  • Angels selected the contract of OF Gustavo Campero from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Campero is yet another player for the Angels that has a chance to make his MLB debut. The speedy 26-year-old has hit 14 homers while stealing 33 bases for Triple-A Salt Lake in 2024. Despite those strong numbers, it wouldn’t be wise to add him to a fantasy roster for these final two weeks.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #41
Angels activated RHP Carson Fulmer off the 15-day injured list.
Fulmer is back after missing two weeks with inflammation in his pitching elbow. The 30-year-old was having his first real taste of MLB success, and if he gets a chance to start he’d be worth streaming consideration — depending on the matchup, of course.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #48
Diamondbacks recalled LHP Blake Walston from Triple-A Reno.
Walston, 23, is back with the Diamondbacks moving on from Dylan Floro. The 23-year-old lefty has a chance to make a start with Arizona before the season ends, but more than likely comes up as a multi-inning reliever.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #55
Diamondbacks designated RHP Dylan Floro for assignment.
Well, that didn’t work out. Floro was acquired at the deadline to boost the Diamondbacks’ bullpen, but all he boosted was his ERA. He came to Arizona with a 2.06 mark, but he was awful in Arizona with a 9.37 ERA and 1.65 WHIP over 15 appearances. Floro will likely see interest on the waiver wire, and will hit free agency if he goes unclaimed.
  • COL Shortstop #7
Brendan Rodgers is out of Sunday’s lineup with tightness in his hamstring.
Rodgers was scratched from the lineup Saturday and isn’t in the lineup for Sunday’s contest, as well. The 28-year-old second baseman could be back in the lineup for Monday’s affair, but the Rockies will likely take precautions with less than two weeks left in the season.
  • FA Relief Pitcher #47
    Yankees released LHP Victor González.
González was sent outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre back in June, and now he’ll look for a new opportunity. Don’t be surprised if that move doesn’t come until the offseason, but there’s a chance someone could give him an opportunity for the final couple of weeks of 2024.
  • SF Shortstop #49
Tyler Fitzgerald (back) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Padres.
Fitzgerald will end up missing the entire series against the Padres while dealing with tightness in his lower back. The 27-year-old will get at least one more day of recovery with Donovan Walton starting at second base and Brett Wisley handling shortstop.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #64
Rockies optioned RHP Bradley Blalock to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Blalock is sent down to make room for Cal Quantrill with Quantrill being activated off the injured list. The 23-year-old has registered a 5.79 ERA and 20/19 K/BB in seven appearances — six of the starts with the Rockies after being traded from the Brewers — and 29 2/3 innings.
