Robert threw two scoreless innings against the Orioles on Saturday, and his reward is a trip to the Pacific Coast League. Gerson Garabito is heading up to Texas in the corresponding move.

Wood’s stolen base was his 13th of the season. He’s hitting .273 with seven home runs and 36 stolen bases in 249 at-bats this year. Wood isn’t a finished product given his lack of pulled fly balls and he’s been caught stealing seven times. He’s just scratching the surface of what can be an excellent fantasy ceiling.

Nimmo raised his average to .227 and his OPS to .728. Both marks are career lows (min. 100 games). Nimmo had hit at least .274 in each of the last four years prior to 2024. He has 19 home runs, 78 RBI and 13 steals on the year, but the average has put a damper on what’s otherwise been a solid year.

It was a non-save situation, but it was another solid performance for Hernandez. He’s allowed runs in just one of his performances thus far in September, and he’s fanned 12 batters over his 7 1/3 innings in the month. His fantasy value is limited to holds leagues at this stage, but Fernandez just might have the stuff to be a closer someday.

Arenado was responsible for the only run the Cardinals scored off Paul Skenes, as he singled off the talented rookie to give St. Louis a 1-0 lead in the fourth. That was all the offense the Cards would need with Andre Pallante dominating the Pittsburgh lineup, but they scored three more anyway. Once among the very best options regardless of positions, Arenado has been just another guy with a .267 average, 16 homers and now 67 RBI.

Pallante only gave up four hits in the contest, and he threw 68-of-100 offerings for strikes. Only one hit allowed went for extra bases, and he had the Pittsburgh hitters off-balance throughout the game in a very impressive start for the 25-year-old. Pallante was completely off fantasy radars to begin 2024, but he’s now crafted solid — if unspectacular — stats like a 3.87 ERA and 86/46 K/BB over 109 1/3 innings. You can do worse, that’s for sure.

Skenes was excellent again. His offense was not, as they couldn’t solve Andre Pallante for even a single run of support. The right-hander has not allowed more than two runs in a start since August 10, and he takes his first loss since that start against the Dodgers. This is a loaded NL rookie class, and Skenes has been as good — if not better than — all of them.

Iglesias is in the lineup while Francisco Lindor deals with a back injury. He got a clutch hit with a two-out RBI single in the eighth to tie the game. Iglesias is hitting .323 with three home runs and 24 RBI in 220 at-bats this year.

Irvin gave up four hits, walked one and struck out five. Irvin allowed a double to Tyron Taylor to start the eighth inning. Taylor scored to tie the game on a two-out RBI single by Jose Iglesias after Irvin was already out of the game. He pitched well enough to win, but the Nationals supported him with only one run. Irvin is 10-12 with a 4.07 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 150 strikeouts in 179 1/3 innings on the year. The 27-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs on the road this weekend.

Perkins has stolen 22 bases on the year. The two hits are a welcome site after he had just three hits in September of his 39 at-bats. The real-life value Perkins provides with his defense and speed is considerable. The fantasy value is limited to essentially the one category.

Marsh got the Phillies on the board with a solo blast off Aaron Civale. The 26-year-old is up to 16 homers and 56 RBI, and it’s worth pointing out that’s over 125 games after missing some time with injury. Marsh is a useable fantasy option who has also added 16 steals, but this might just be what he is at this stage. Pretty good, not great.
