Rockies prospect Charlie Condon suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left wrist on Thursday and will be shut down from all baseball activities for the next six weeks.
Ouch. The 21-year-old slugger, who was selected third overall in the 2024 MLB Draft, suffered the injury while making a diving attempt on defense during Thursday’s game. While the injury will not require surgery, he will be in a split for a month before slowly starting to resume activity. It’s unlikely that we see him make his minor league debut until sometime in May, assuming everything goes smoothly in his recovery.
