Gio Urshela is not in the lineup for Saturday’s tilt against the Mariners.
Urshela will get his first day off of the season. Luis Urias — a former Mariner who hit a pinch-hit homer during Friday’s blowout win — will handle the hot corner and hit seventh.

Mets optioned RHP Tyler Zuber to Triple-A Syracuse.
Zuber, who was active for two days, allowed two runs over two innings while mopping up against the Phillies on Sunday.
What's next for demoted Red Sox prospect Campbell?
A tough couple months prompted a demotion for Red Sox prospect Kristian Campbell, but James Schiano remains confident he'll find his way in Boston -- and for fantasy managers.
  • NYM Center Fielder #19
Mets transferred OF Jose Siri to the 60-day injured list.
Siri has already missed 60 days, so this changes nothing for him. Originally expected to miss 8-10 weeks with a fractured tibia suffered Apr. 12, Siri experienced a setback earlier this month, leaving him with no current timetable for his return.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher #55
Twins claimed RHP Connor Gillispie off waivers from the Marlins and optioned him to Triple-A St. Paul.
Gillispie, who is 0-3 with an 8.65 ERA in six major league starts this season, was DFA’d by the Marlins last week. His lack of velocity leaves him with a low ceiling, but he can eat some innings as a swingman if needed.
  • BAL Catcher #98
Orioles placed C Maverick Handley on the seven-day concussion injured list.
Handley, who was to back up Gary Sánchez after Adley Rutschman went on the IL with an oblique strain Saturday, was hurt in a collision with Jazz Chisholm Jr. during Sunday’s game against the Yankees. Chadwick Tromp will fill in for him.
  • BAL Catcher #41
Orioles selected the contract of C Chadwick Tromp from Triple-A Norfolk.
No Samuel Basallo. Tromp was up briefly last month and went 0-for-4 in two games. He’s a career .219/.229/.375 hitter in 166 major league plate appearances.
  • BAL 1st Baseman #6
Orioles transferred 1B Ryan Mountcastle from the 15-day to the 60-day injured list.
Mountcastle is currently about three weeks into a projected eight- to 12-week absence due to a strained hamstring.
  • ARI Left Fielder #73
2024 first-round pick Ryan Waldschmidt is being promoted to Double-A Amarillo.
Waldschmidt, 22, hit .268/.415/.447 with nine homers and 10 steals for High-A Hillsboro, though he was better in April than he’s been lately. He’s a candidate to succeed Lourdes Gurriel Jr. as the D-backs left fielder in 2027.
  • MIN Catcher #11
Mickey Gasper has gone on the injured list at Triple-A St. Paul due to plantar fasciitis.
One imagines that’ll keep him out of the mix for a callup for at least a few weeks. Gasper, who went 6-for-34 in 17 games early this season, was hitting .318/.418/.609 in 40 games for St. Paul.
  • CWS Relief Pitcher #68
White Sox sent RHP Caleb Freeman outright to Triple-A Charlotte.
No team thought it was worth seeing if Freeman’s control issues could be fixed, so he’ll return to Charlotte. Since it’s the first time the 27-year-old reliever has been outrighted, he’ll have to accept the assignment.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #59
The White Sox have pushed back Sean Burke’s start to Wednesday in favor of a bullpen game on Tuesday.
Mike Vasil and Tyler Alexander are both candidates to go multiple innings tomorrow against the D-backs. Burke threw a season-high 100 pitches last time out, so he’ll get an extra day of rest before facing Arizona on Wednesday.
