Emilio Pagán worked a scoreless ninth inning to record the save against the Giants on Tuesday.
Pagán was summoned to close out the game against the Giants with a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth. He needed just seven pitches to get the job done for his second save of the season. The 33-year-old right-hander looks to be in line for the majority of save chances in Cincinnati at the moment despite Tony Santillan picking up the save in a high-leverage situation on Monday.

Angels interim manager Ray Montgomery said Kenley Jansen is battling some cramping.
Jansen was removed from Monday’s game after just four pitches, but Montgomery was quick to quiet concerns after the game. The 37-year-old closer is allegedly dealing with cramping in his pec and neck, so the Angels removed him from the game, given that it was not a save situation. Jansen is allegedly available out of the bullpen on Tuesday, but we’ll have to monitor the situation to see if the cramps turn into anything else.
Taylor, Moniak among Week 14 waiver-wire targets
Eric Samulski examines the top fantasy baseball waiver-wire targets for Week 14, highlighting White Sox pitcher Grant Taylor and Colorado Rockies outfielder Mickey Moniak.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #34
White Sox signed RHP Noah Syndergaard to a minor league contract.
Early in the offseason, it was reported that Syndergaard had lost 30 pounds and was hoping to make a comeback, but apparently no team had taken an interest. Until now. The 32-year-old is hoping not to end his professional career with the 6.50 ERA and 1.39 WHIP he put together with the Guardians and Dodgers in 2023. He will report to the White Sox complex in Arizona before the team determines which minor league club to start him at. While it would be nice to see Thor on an MLB mound again, it’s unlikely that he would have any fantasy relevance.
  • CIN 3rd Baseman #16
Noelvi Marte (hamstring) will move his rehab to Double-A Chattanooga on Wednesday.
With Jeimer Candelario no longer in the Reds organization, there is one fewer corner infield bat to compete for playing time with, but Marte will still have to fight for playing time with Santiago Espinal, Christian Encarnacion-Strand, and Gavin Lux. That makes it hard to stash him in fantasy leagues until we know what kind of role he’s returning to.
  • LAA Shortstop #9
Zach Neto hit a solo homer and drove in two runs while going 3-for-4 and adding a stolen base in a 9-5 win for the Angels over the Red Sox on Monday.
Neto’s other two hits were singles, but he drove in his first run of the game when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded off Walker Buehler. The 24-year-old now has a dozen homers on the season, and his steal gives him 13. Those are solid numbers, but even more impressive when you consider that he missed close to 20 games to begin the year. Neto was not viewed as a potential fantasy star when he was drafted by Los Angeles. There’s significantly more upside in his bat than anticipated.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #41
Jack Kochanowicz allowed four runs over five innings in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Monday.
Kochanowicz gave up six hits and two walks, and he struck out just a single batter. The right-hander fanned eight in his previous outing against the Yankees, but that was clearly an outlier for one of the worst bat-missers in the sport. While the 24-year-old is difficult to square up and generates plenty of ground balls, that doesn’t help nearly enough in fantasy to justify using him against all but the poorest lineups. You should be able to find better options rather than using him Sunday for his scheduled start against the Nationals.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #0
Walker Buehler allowed five runs over four innings while picking up no-decision against the Angels on Monday.
Buehler just couldn’t find the strike zone Monday, as he ended up walking seven batters and landed just 46-of-94 pitches for strikes. In addition to those free passes, he also hit Zach Neto with the bases loaded to force in a run. It’s too bad as the 30-year-old’s stuff was fine, but when you have that much self-inflicted damage, these things tend to happen. Buehler now has an unseemly 6.29 ERA on the season, and his first season with the Red Sox is at the very least disaster-adjacent. His next chance to turn things around will be Sunday against the Blue Jays.
  • SD Right Fielder #23
Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a three-run homer in a loss to the Nationals on Monday.
It came in a 10-3 game in the ninth inning, but Tatis was able to smoke a three-run blast to center to give him his 15th homer of the year. He’s gone deep seven times in June, and while his .782 OPS for the month isn’t awe-inspiring, it’s a solid improvement on the .626 mark he registered in May.
  • WSH Shortstop #5
CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 and scored three runs in a win over the Padres on Monday.
Abrams also stole a base, giving the speedy infielder 16 on the season. It’s worth noting that he was going against the organization that traded him for Juan Soto in 2023, and he gave San Diego fans a reason to ponder some things. Abrams has been exceptional in 2025 with the aforementioned steals, 11 homers and an OPS of .843.
  • WSH 1st Baseman #19
Josh Bell homered and drove in three runs in a win for the Nationals on Monday.
It’s Bell’s first homer of the month, as he’s now hitting .234/.275/.328 in 18 June contests. Bell is comfortably outside of fantasy consideration outside of the deepest NL-only leagues, though when he gets as hot as he was in May (.254/.367/.493, five homers), he’s a worthy streamer.
  • WSH Left Fielder #29
James Wood hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs in a 10-6 win for the Nationals on Monday over the Padres.
Wood doubled Washington’s lead in the eighth with a three-run homer off Yuki Matsui to make it 9-3 Nationals. The 22-year-old also singled in a run to give him 61 RBI to go with his 22 homers in his first full season of MLB action. It’s reasonable to think that Wood is going to have some regression, but it’d be a mistake to think that he’s not capable of keeping this up — for the most part — for the remainder of 2025 as well. He’s got a good chance to be a special fantasy baseball player.
