Patrick Corbin pitched well in a losing effort against the Tigers on Thursday night, allowing just two runs on three hits over seven strong innings.
The 35-year-old southpaw walked four batters on the evening while punching out three. The Tigers scratched out a run against him in the second inning on an RBI double by Dillon Dingler, then added another in the fourth on a run-scoring single by Colt Keith after Riley Greene had swiped second. Corbin got just four whiffs on 93 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 22 percent. He’ll carry an impressive 3.13 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and a 20/12 K/BB ratio (31 2/3 innings) into a premium matchup against the Rockies on Wednesday.
