Francisco Lindor went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, two runs scored, and a stolen base on Friday against the Cubs.
The Mets’ left-handed batters teed off on Jameson Taillon here, smacking four total home runs. Lindor got that party started when he yanked an 0-2 fastball from Taillon over the right field fence to begin the game. He put a ball to the warning track too in his next at-bat, but it was knocked down by the wind in what was a cold and rainy night in Citi Field. That home run was his eighth of the season and the stolen base was his fifth. His consistency is worth marveling at.
