Fernando Tatis Jr. went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, three runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base on Sunday as the Padres bested the Diamondbacks 8-2 in Arizona.
The 26-year-old superstar struck out to open the game, then wasn’t retired again the rest of the way. He singled off of Merrill Kelly in the third and fifth innings, the second time he came in to score on an RBI double off the bat of Luis Arraez. Tatis then smacked double in the seventh and ninth inning, swiping third once and scoring two runs while knocking in one in those two innings. With his four-hit attack, Tatis is now hitting a healthy .277/.356/.473 with 13 homers, 31 RBI and 15 stolen bases on the season.
