Carlos Rodón surrendered seven runs — six earned — in five innings Saturday in a loss to the Mets.
Rodón didn’t fool many batters today; 12 of the 17 balls in play against him were hit hard, with eight of those checking in at over 104 mph. He gave up a grand slam to Brandon Nimmo in the first and later a two-run homer to Pete Alonso in the fifth. Rodón was 8-3 with a 2.49 ERA through 13 starts, but he’s 1-3 with a 5.34 ERA in his last six outings, five of which have turned into Yankees losses. In fact, the team now has a losing record, at 9-10, in his 19 starts this year. He’ll face the Cubs in his first-half finale.

Giants re-signed C Logan Porter to a minor league contract.
Porter returns as organizational catching depth for San Francisco after passing through waivers unclaimed and electing free agency. The 29-year-old backstop got into four games earlier this season for the Giants.
Why Henriquez and Gelof are waiver wire targets
Eric Samulski claims that Marlins' Ronny Henriquez and Athletics' Zack Gelof are two potential waiver wire targets, explaining why each could be added to any league type.
  • PIT Relief Pitcher #35
Pirates activated RHP Colin Holderman from the 15-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Holderman will remain stationed in the minors after wrapping up a minor league rehab assignment. The 29-year-old reliever has been out since late May with right thumb inflammation.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #31
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) will be activated to start on Wednesday against the Brewers.
It’s official. Glasnow will make his return to Los Angeles’ rotation for the first time since late April. The 31-year-old fantasy ace threw 78 pitches in his final minor league rehab outing last week for Triple-A Oklahoma City so we’re not anticipating any workload limitations. He’ll provide a massive lift for the Dodgers, and fantasy managers, over the final three months of the season. The move pushes Dustin May back to Friday’s series opener against San Francisco and likely means Shohei Ohtani won’t pitch again until after next week’s All-Star break.
  • PHI Relief Pitcher #70
Phillies re-signed RHP Nabil Crismatt to a minor league contract.
Crismatt returns to the fold with Philadelphia as emergency organizational pitching depth after testing the open market last week for opportunities elsewhere. The 30-year-old righty has compiled a solid 3.81 ERA across 80 1/3 innings (15 starts) this season for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
  • LAD Left Fielder #37
Teoscar Hernández (foot) is not in the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Brewers.
The positive news for fantasy managers is that imaging on Sunday didn’t reveal any fractures in Hernández’s left foot and it sounds like he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. The 32-year-old slugging corner outfielder is dealing with some residual soreness after fouling a ball off his foot over the weekend. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him sit out a few additional games this week in the lead up to next week’s Midsummer Classic. It’ll be Andy Pages sliding over to cover right field with James Outman patrolling center field on Monday night in Milwaukee.
  • LAD 2nd Baseman #25
Tommy Edman (toe) is not in the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Brewers.
No surprise here since Edman has been dealing with a hairline fracture in his right pinkie toe after being hit by a pitch over the weekend. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters he anticipates Edman avoiding a trip to the injured list. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him get some extra time off this week with just a few games left before the extended All-Star break. It’ll be rookie Hyeseong Kim continuing to handle the keystone in his absence.
  • LAD Relief Pitcher #35
Dodgers selected the contract of LHP Julian Fernández from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Fernández has been summoned back to the big leagues for the first time since the 2021 campaign when he made six relief appearances for the Rockies. The 29-year-old southpaw provides Los Angeles with a fresh relief arm heading into Monday’s series opener against the Brewers. He’s posted a solid 4.08 ERA and 32/10 K/BB ratio across 28 2/3 innings (24 appearances) this season for Triple-A Oklahoma City.
  • LAD Center Fielder #33
Dodgers recalled OF James Outman from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Outman gets the call to replace an injured Enrique Hernández (elbow) on the Dodgers’ active roster prior to Monday’s series opener against the Brewers. The 28-year-old center fielder has hit .125 (3-for-24) with two homers in nine games this season at the major-league level.
  • LAD 2nd Baseman #8
Dodgers placed INF/OF Enrique Hernández on the 10-day injured list with left elbow inflammation.
Hernández has seen an uptick in playing time since Max Muncy hit the injured list with a bone bruise in his left knee, but he’s going to miss a couple weeks. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Hernández has been dealing with the issue in his non-throwing elbow for nearly a month. The versatile 33-year-old figures to return at some point in the early stages of the second half.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #70
Dodgers optioned LHP Justin Wrobleski to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Wrobleski heads back to the minors after getting blasted for five runs – four earned – over 4 2/3 innings on Saturday in a bulk relief outing against the Dodgers. The. 24-year-old lefty holds a respectable 4.50 ERA and 40/10 K/BB ratio across 40 innings (eight appearances, two starts) this season in the big leagues. He’ll operate in a swingman-type role in the second half when he gets another shot.
