Payton Pritchard finished Monday’s 121-118 overtime loss to the Hornets with 21 points (8-of-14 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, two steals, and five 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
With Derrick White (rest) not playing, Pritchard was a more important piece within the Celtics rotation on Monday. And he took full advantage early, knocking down four 3-pointers in the first quarter. He shot 6-of-9 from the field in the first half, but Charlotte devoted more attention to Pritchard after halftime and managed to keep him in check. Boston plays three more games this week, but with no back-to-backs, Pritchard’s fantasy value stands to decrease since White should be available. Sam Hauser, who replaced White in the starting lineup, struggled on Monday, finishing with three points (1-of-9 FGs), one rebound, one assist, and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.
