Jaylen Brown shot 14-of-23 from the field and 0-of-1 from the foul line in Monday’s 122-112 loss to the Pacers, amassing 30 points, nine rebounds, one steal, two blocks, and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.
Before fouling out, Brown hit the 30-point mark for the third time this season on Monday. Two of those efforts have come in Boston’s last three games, but he remains ranked well outside the top 50 in 9-cat per-game value. The issue is foul shooting. After missing his lone attempt on Monday, Brown’s making just 69.9% of his attempts on the season. While he’s never been a great foul shooter, making 72.2% of his career attempts, Brown finished last season at 76.5%. His attempts per game (4.0) have also dropped, which is especially concerning for fantasy managers. The good news is that Brown’s upped his defensive production in recent games, which should boost his fantasy value if that continues.
