Keegan Murray (left hip) shot 4-of-12 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Friday’s 105-98 loss to New Orleans, tallying 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes.
After torching the Warriors on Tuesday, Murray could not rebound from a slow start in Friday’s loss to New Orleans. He began 2-of-7 from the field, and suffering a left hip injury during the second quarter didn’t help. Murray did return and go on to play 38 minutes, but a solid second season in the NBA came to a disappointing end. Beginning the season with a Yahoo ADP of 104.5, the 2022 lottery pick ranked just outside the top 50 in 8- and 9-cat formats. The key for Murray moving forward will be to play with consistent aggression and not go through stretches in which he’s overly deferential to De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. At a minimum, he’ll be worth selecting with a top-75 pick in standard league drafts.

Patrick Williams recorded a double-double on Monday with 13 points (5-of-13 FGs), 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers against Cleveland.
It hasn’t been a great start to the season for the former top five pick, but he did some good things in this game. The field goal percentage continues to be a major issue, but he did record his first double-double of the season while tying his season-high for points. He’s a difficult player to rely on, since he hasn’t had many good games this year. Hopefully he’ll turn things around soon, since struggling like this in year five isn’t a great sign for a player that was drafted 4th overall.
  • CLE Point Guard #2
Ty Jerome provided a boost off the bench with 12 points (5-of-9 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, three steals and two 3-pointers against the Bulls on Monday.
Cleveland’s bench came up big in this game, and Jerome was a huge part of that. The reserves scored 39 points, with Caris LeVert and Georges Niang joining Jerome in scoring exactly 12 points. Jerome has quietly been very solid in 9-cat leagues this season and ranks just outside the top-100 in just 16.5 minutes per game. The efficiency is a big reason for that, and while he may be an elite streaming option if Darius Garland or Donovan Mitchell were to miss a game, he is only worth rostering in deeper leagues as of now.
  • OKC Shooting Guard #11
Isaiah Joe posted a full line on Monday with 12 points (5-of-12 FGS), three rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and two 3-pointers against the Clippers.
Joe has been part of a rotation for the final starting spot, but with Chet Holmgren sidelined, both Joe and Aaron Wiggins started in this game, with Cason Wallace coming off the bench. It wouldn’t be surprising if Mark Daigneault continued to rotate through those three in the starting lineup, with two starting at a time. Joe is normally just a floor spacer, but he was able to provide value in other ways in this game, which was encouraging to see.
  • OKC Small Forward #8
Jalen Williams lit up the Clippers with 28 points (11-of-16 FGs), eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and two triples on Monday.
JDub got the start at center and may be the team’s starting big man moving forward. Chet Holmgren is set to be re-evaluated in 8-10 weeks, so until Isaiah Hartenstein or Jaylin Williams returns, JDub is the guy. Hopefully, this is what managers can expect from OKC’s new starting center. He has been elite this season, and he currently ranks in the top-20 in 9-cat scoring. More performances like this could elevate him to his first ever first-round finish.
  • LAC Center #40
Ivica Zubac recorded a double-double on Monday with 22 points (9-of-12 FGs), 14 rebounds and three blocks against the Thunder.
The Thunder rolled out a small starting lineup with Chet Holmgren sidelined, which gave Zubac the chance to dominate. He had another big performance in what has been an incredible season for him. He has at least 10 rebounds in every game except for two, and he had nine rebounds in each of those. Tyronn Lue is finally unleashing Zubac, and he has been a top-75 player in 9-cat leagues to this point because of that. As long as he continues to play around 35 minutes per game like he has, Zubac will be an excellent option for the rest of the season.
  • LAC Small Forward #55
Derrick Jones Jr. lit up the Thunder with 20 points (8-of-13 FGs), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and four 3-pointers on Monday.
The Clippers’ offseason acquisition was never a great fantasy option, and that has held true in his first season in LA. However, he does rank in the top-150 in 9-cat leagues this season, which is a huge step in the right direction for him. He set a new season-high for both points and assists while tying his season-high for triples in this game. However, managers shouldn’t see this as a sign of things to come. He simply isn’t a great option in standard leagues.
  • HOU Small Forward #17
Tari Eason posted a full line off the bench with 10 points (5-of-10 FGs), six rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks against the Wizards on Monday.
Eason’s performance may get overshadowed by Amen Thompson’s eight “stocks”, but five off the bench isn’t bad either. He has been an elite source of both defensive stats since he entered the league, and despite not seeing much of a bump in minutes, he is averaging career-highs in both. Eason currently ranks just outside the top-50 in 9-cat leagues, which is a result of his defensive dominance and 54.6% shooting from the floor. If Eason ever comes by more minutes, he has the ability to truly shift the fantasy landscape.
  • HOU Center #28
Alperen Sengun recorded a double-double on Monday with 27 points (12-of-19 FGs), 17 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one 3-pointer in a 107-92 win over Washington.
Sengun controlled the paint in this game on the way to his second straight 27-point double-double. This was his fourth game this season with at least 25 points and 10 rebounds, and he fell one rebound shy of tying his season-high. His last two matchups haven’t been high on the difficulty rating, but now they host Ivica Zubac on the Clippers for two straight games. We’ll see if Sengun is able to keep this double-double streak alive against the second-leading rebounder in the league.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #13
Jordan Poole struggled on Monday and finished with 11 points (5-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, six assists, four steals, one triple and eight turnovers against Houston.
It has been an excellent start to the season for Poole, but Houston’s perimeter defense forced a bad game out of him. He was able to somewhat redeem his night with the assists and steals, but the poor shooting, lack of 3-pointers and turnovers were all tough to deal with. This was his first game with less than two triples this year, and the turnovers were a new season-high. Poole was a top-five player in fantasy at one point, but he is starting to regress to the norm.
  • NOP Center #21
Yves Missi recorded a double-double on Monday with 17 points (7-of-8 FGs), 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block against Brooklyn.
In their last game, Missi had one of his worst performances of the season. He was held scoreless and grabbed just one rebound in 20 minutes. However, he bounced back in a big way on Monday, setting career-highs in both points and rebounds as he finished with the first double-double of his career. The big man has been inconsistent, but he has shown so many flashes of fantasy dominance. Their next game is in OKC on Wednesday, and they started all perimeter players on Monday due to the injuries to their centers. This could be a great opportunity for Missi, or it could be a recipe for an underwhelming performance.
