College Hoops DFS Plays: National Championship

Brady Manek

Brady Manek

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Here we go with the College Hoops DFS slate for the National Championship on Monday, April 4. Lineups for this single-game slate lock at 9:20 p.m. ET.

The following analysis will highlight several top plays, bargains, and other information you need to know in order to create a cash-inducing squad.

With that, let’s get to the daily fantasy analysis!

TOP PLAYS

Armando Bacot - F - North Carolina (FD: $13,500 / DK: $10,200)

Bacot tweaked his ankle in Saturday’s epic victory over Duke, but reports suggest he’ll play on Monday. Will that hinder his stat-line? We aren’t sure, but Bacot will do everything in his power to stay on the court and produce at his usual level. This is the National Championship game, after all! The North Carolina big man has hauled in 20-plus rebounds in two straight games, and he’s averaging 45 FPPG in the tournament. Needless to say, he has the highest floor/ceiling fantasy combination of any player in this game.

Brady Manek - F - North Carolina (FD: $10,500 / DK: $8,600)

Manek seems underpriced on both sites. He can be utilized in the FLEX spot on DraftKings and potentially in the STAR or PRO spot on FanDuel. According to our College Basketball DFS Optimizer, Manek has the second-highest projection of the night - only trailing Bacot in that regard. Even though he was somewhat mediocre in his last game, Manek is still averaging 36 FPPG in the tournament. That’s a reasonable expectation in this title bout against Kansas.

Also Consider: Jalen Wilson, Caleb Love

BARGAINS

David McCormack - F - Kansas (FD: $10,000 / DK: $5,800)

McCormack is much better on DraftKings than FanDuel, as you can easily utilize his bargain salary on DK. The 6’10” forward stepped up for a massive 40 FP performance against Villanova on Saturday. Can he pull off a similar showing on Monday? Probably not, but it’s nice to know he has 20 point and 10 rebound upside. McCormack will need to avoid foul trouble, but if he can do that, he should be in line for a healthy fantasy performance to pay dividends on his bargain salary.

Remy Martin - G - Kansas (FD: $8,500 / DK: $6,600)

Martin has a wide range of fantasy outcomes, but he’s also super-cheap on FanDuel. In fact, he’s one of the only guys below $9k (on FD) that can legitimately hit 30-plus fantasy points. Martin has been pretty mediocre over his last two games, but we can’t forget his 37 FP showings in the second round and Sweet 16. If Martin hits a few shots early, then he can heat up to offer strong value.
