TOP PICKS

Alvin Kamara - RB - New Orleans (DK: $12,800 / FD: $16,000 / Yahoo: $35)

Kamara is the top overall play on this slate, and it’s not even close. He’s a fantastic player who can get the job done through the air or on the ground. The matchup looks terrific against a Seattle team that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. On top of that, the weather could have both teams focusing on their ground game a little more. There’s expected to be rain and 15-20 mph winds in Seattle, so Kamara will be even more of a focal point for the Saints on Monday. More volume plus a fantastic matchup equals fantasy upside.

Jameis Winston - QB - New Orleans (DK: $11,800 / FD: $16,500 / Yahoo: $25)

As mentioned in the previous write-up, the weather is a concern in this game. However, Winston and the Saints like to focus on short-to-intermediate passing routes, so maybe they won’t see a massive hit tonight. Also, the lack of options on this single-game slate has us looking towards Winston as a top play. He’s stackable with Kamara, as the latter is an excellent receiver who can feed Winston’s passing total.

BEST BARGAINS

Rashaad Penny - RB - Seattle (DK: $2,600 / FD: $10,000 / Yahoo: N/A)

Penny is reportedly ready to go for Monday, as he was activated from the IR. If you recall, Penny was getting a ton of buzz before the season, as he looked lighter while impressing in the open field. Seattle HC Pete Carroll is excited about Penny’s return, and the Seahawks could focus on their rushing attack tonight. Chris Carson is out, and Alex Collins is dinged up, so Penny could be forced into a respectable workload right away. Penny is super cheap on DraftKings, looking like a solid lift through all formats over there.

Kenny Stills - WR - New Orleans (DK: $2,400 / FD: $5,500 / Yahoo: $10)

Stills is more of a value filler if you need a cheapie to round out your lineup. He’s technically the WR2 in this New Orleans passing attack that likes to spread the ball around. He saw five targets last time around, which is somewhat of a promising sign moving forward. While he’s not a guarantee to rack up fantasy points, Stills makes sense as a bargain when considering the cheap salary and high snap rate.

TOURNAMENT LOOKS

Will Dissly - TE - Seattle (DK: $5,100 / FD: $6,500 / Yahoo: $10)

Dissly is a touchdown-dependent fantasy commodity who is probably better on FanDuel and Yahoo when considering the relatively low salaries over there. There’s a chance Seattle will throw more underneath passes given the weather situation, so Dissly could get a few more looks. This is a true dice roll, but Dissly will pay off immensely if he finds the end-zone for the second-straight game.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Geno Smith (QB - SEA) is hardly a reliable fantasy asset, and the weather situation makes things even shakier ... DK Metcalf (WR - SEA) is a borderline fantasy asset, as he appears to be Smith’s favorite receiver since taking over ... Tyler Lockett (WR - SEA) is a tournament-only pick tonight. I really don’t like him, as Smith can’t seem to get him the ball downfield. That really curbs Lockett’s DFS upside.

Marquez Callaway (WR - NO) has seen a nice uptick in recent weeks. Of course, the weather situation makes things murky for this matchup, but Seattle has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to receivers. Keep Callaway in the borderline cash consideration as a legitimate stacking extension of Winston.

Alex Collins (RB - SEA) is technically questionable to play tonight. If he goes, then he’ll likely be less than 100%. That, along with the return of Penny, makes him a shaky fantasy pick - especially when considering a hefty salary on all DFS sites.

Jason Myers (K - SEA) and BrIan Johnson (K - NO) are both in play as bargain choices. This is a low over/under of only 41.5 total points, and both offenses could stall due to the weather. Yes, the wind and rain could have a negative impact on these kickers, but that could balance out with more opportunities to score.

Juwan Johnson (TE - NO) and Gerald Everett (TE - SEA) follow the rationale listed with Dissly earlier. All of these guys are touchdown-dependent tournament plays. Johnson was hot to start the season, but he has fallen off in recent weeks. Still, he has a two-touchdown game under his belt as a legitimate red-zone threat.
