Here we go with the Single Game NFL DFS slate for Monday Night Football of Week 10. Today’s matchup is between the Rams and 49ers with Los Angeles checking in as a four-point road favorite. The over/under currently rests at 49 total points. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 ET.

We’ll highlight the top picks and best bargains to assemble a cash-inducing lineup. On top of that, the “additional notes” section will feature several tournament selections while adding context to the rest of this slate.

We will be producing these articles for Thursday, Sunday, and Monday Night Football matchups, so be sure to bookmark the NBC Sports EDGE DFS Page for those occasions - not to mention all the other fantastic daily fantasy content.

TOP PICKS

Matthew Stafford - QB - LA Rams (DK: $10,800 / FD: $17,000 / Yahoo: $34)

Who is the better captain pick of this slate: Stafford or Kupp? That’s a tough question, but there’s no doubt that this will be a popular stack (rightfully so) in tonight’s game. The 49ers have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, and Stafford will look to exploit this generous matchup. The Rams QB posted 24+ fantasy points in three of his last four games, and that’s a realistic expectation for this Monday night draw.

Cooper Kupp - WR - LA Rams (DK: $12,000 / FD: $16,000 / Yahoo: $37)

Will this guy ever slow down? Kupp is an absolute fantasy beast who is averaging 25 FPPG (half PPR scoring) over his last four games. He’s seemingly matchup-proof, and there’s a chance Kupp will see a few extra targets with teammate Robert Woods sidelined. It’s not like Kupp needs the extra boost, but fantasy backers will take all the help they can get when it comes to the All-Pro receiver. He’s definitely a top play on tonight’s single-game slate.

BEST BARGAINS

Ben Skowronek - WR - LA Rams (DK: $200 / FD: $6,000 / Yahoo: $10)

As mentioned earlier, Woods is out with an injury. Ben Skowronek is on track to start in his place. This obviously makes him one of the better cheap picks of this single-game slate. Skowronek himself is questionable, so we’ll need to double-check his status prior to kickoff. Assuming he’s playing, Skowronek should see plenty of snaps and targets to pay off the minimal salary.

Matt Gay - K - LA Rams (DK: $4,200 / FD: $9,500 / Yahoo: N/A)

Taking one of two kickers looks like a decent bet for this Monday night game. Gay has been hovering around double-digit fantasy points in every game this season, and there’s no reason to believe that he’ll slow down tonight. The Rams play fast and move the ball efficiently, which should give Gay numerous field-goal tries.

TOURNAMENT LOOKS

Tyler Higbee - TE - LA Rams (DK: $6,200 / FD: $7,500 / Yahoo: $14)

Woods is out, and most people are looking for the other receivers to step up. We already talked about Skowronek, while newly-acquired Odell Beckham Jr. and Van Jefferson Jr. are candidates to see a few extra looks as well. However, don’t forget about Higbee as a reliable pass-catcher to pick up the slack. His salary is cheap (especially on FD), and he’s fresh off a 10-target game with room for upside this evening.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Jimmy Garoppolo (QB - SF) is in play, but he’s pretty underwhelming when considering the opportunity on this slate. Deebo Samuel (WR - SF) could draw coverage from CB Jalen Ramsey on Monday. That didn’t deter him in late 2020, but it’s still something to consider. If Samuel has trouble getting open, then Brandon Aiyuk (WR - SF) could pick up the slack. Aiyuk is a strong mid-range fantasy choice who broke out with 6-89-1 last week. George Kittle (TE - SF) is a tournament option who worked his way back from injury with a sweet 6-101-1 line against Arizona last week.

Darrell Henderson Jr. (RB - LAR) is very much in play through all formats tonight. I’m recommending the Stafford/Kupp stack over him, but there’s a chance you could roster all three mainstays from the Rams’ offense, especially with Skowronek providing reliable value.

Eli Mitchell (RB - SF) is a featured running back in an offense that lines to keep things on the ground. His over/under tonight is 66.5 yards, and there’s a good chance he’ll break through that with a touchdown to his name as well. The matchup and game flow don’t look great, but the volume is there for Mitchell to be a borderline cash option. If you don’t have enough cap space for Henderson, then Mitchell is a nice consolation prize, especially for a substantial price difference on DK.

This is where things get weird. Van Jefferson Jr. (WR - LAR) might step up with Woods out of the picture. However, some of his role could be shared with newcomer Odell Beckham Jr. (WR - LAR), for who the Rams say they have “special plays”. Beckham probably won’t see significant snaps after joining the team a few days ago, but he’ll see four or five targets and some of those plays designed to get the ball in his hands. Both are tournament plays, although Jefferson is cheap enough to consider as a filler on DK.
