Colts signed RB Tyler Goodson to the active roster.
With Jonathan Taylor and Zack Moss both battling injuries, Goodson worked his way into a timeshare with Trey Sermon in Week 15, rushing 11 times for 69 yards while catching two passes for 10 yards. While Moss claims that he is planning to play in Week 16, the Colts are obviously less convinced and wanted to make sure Goodson was on the active roster in case they needed him. Goodson will likely split work with Sermon if Taylor and Moss both miss and while Goodson went undrafted, he is an intriguing young player. He had a productive three-year career at Iowa, rushing for 2,551 career yards and 18 touchdowns on 533 carries with 565 yards and another score through the air. He earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2020 and crushed the combine with a 4.42 40, 36.5-inch vertical, 10-foot-3 broad jump, and outstanding times in the agility tests.
