Rotoworld

  • LAC Quarterback #10

Justin Herbert (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Herbert played through a high-ankle sprain in Week 4 with disastrous results. He struggled to move around the pocket and threw for 179 yards plus one touchdown en route to a 10-point performance from the entire offense. LA lost to the Chiefs by seven points. The Chargers’ Week 5 bye should help Herbert get back on his feet for their upcoming matchup with Denver. LA’s run-heavy approach will keep him in the QB2 ranks.
  • CIN Running Back #31
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Zack Moss (neck) is inactive for Week 9 against the Raiders.
Moss was listed as doubtful heading into the weekend and is now officially ruled out after not practicing due to a neck issue Friday. Chase Brown will be a high-end RB2 with RB1 upside for Week 9 against the Raiders. Also inactive for the Bengals are WR Charlie Jones, WR Jermaine Burton, WR Tee Higgins, OT Orlando Brown Jr., TE Tanner McLachlan and DT Jay Tufele. Jones (groin), Higgins (quad), and Brown (knee) are also out due to injury, while Burton is a surprising healthy scratch.
  • NYG Quarterback #15
Giants declared P Jamie Gillan, CB Tre Hawkins, OG Jake Kubas, WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton, DL Jordon Riley, and QB Tommy DeVito inactive for Week 9 against the Commanders.
All things considered, the Giants enter the week at close to full straight. Rookie running back Tyrone Tracy made it out of concussion protocol in time for Sunday’s NFC East tilt and should see a heavy workload after running for a career-high 145 yards in last week’s loss to the Steelers. The Giants will hope their offensive line holds up well enough to protect Daniel Jones after struggling in their first game without Andrew Thomas.
  • CLE Running Back #27
Browns declared RB D’Onta Foreman, LB Jordan Hicks, T Germain Ifedi, QB Bailey Zappe and DT Quinton Jefferson inactive for Cleveland’s Week 9 game against the Chargers.
Foreman is a healthy scratch after seeing seven touches in the last two games for Cleveland. Jerome Ford — finally past his hamstring injury — and Pierre Strong will backup Nick Chubb today. Denzel Ward (concussion) is active for the Browns after initially being declared questionable, which should help hold down the Chargers’ passing attack today. Hicks was declared out Friday with an elbow/triceps listing, Zappe is the third quarterback, the other three are healthy scratches.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #1
Curtis Samuel (pec) is active for Week 9 against the Dolphins.
Samuel is active for the first time since Week 7 and “healthy” for the first time since Week 6. His return comes as Amari Cooper (wrist) lands on the shelf, though Samuel hasn’t shown anything through his first few months with the Bills to suggest he is worth a WR4 dart throw.
  • DEN Tight End #80
Broncos declared TE Greg Dulcich, QB Zach Wilson, S P.J. Locke, CB Damarri Mathis, CB Kris Abrams-Draine, OLB Dondrea Tillman, and OL Frank Crum inactive for Week 9 against the Ravens.
Dulcich has fallen out of favor in Denver and could be moved ahead of the trade deadline if the team can drum up any interest in the 24-year-old tight end. He hasn’t taken the field since Week 4.
  • WAS Quarterback #16
Commanders declared RB Brian Robinson Jr., QB Jeff Driskel, S Darrick Forrest, TE Colson Yankoff, LB Dominique Hampton, and OT Cornelius Lucas inactive for Week 9 against the Giants.
Minutes before the team’s official inactives dropped it was announced that Robinson would be inactive due to his hamstring injury. His absence will pave the way for Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols to have busier afternoons than expected, with Ekeler the likely favorite to lead the backfield in touches.
  • MIA Running Back #23
Dolphins declared RB Jeff Wilson, CB Kader Kohou, S Javon Holland, CB Storm Duck, OL Andrew Meyer, TE Julian Hill and DT Zach Sieler inactive for Week 9 against the Bills.
Wilson has routinely been a healthy scratch since the Dolphins’ backfield got healthier. The 28-year-old looks like waiver wire fodder even in deeper Dynasty leagues.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
Tee Higgins (quad) is inactive for Week 9 against the Raiders.
Higgins will be inactive for the second straight game due to a quad injury. He has not practiced in over a week and will now miss Week 9 against the Raiders. Andrei Iosivas is the primary beneficiary of Higgins’ absence with Jermaine Burton a healthy scratch. Iosivas has some FLEX upside, though expect the Bengals offense to primarily run through Ja’Marr Chase, Mike Gesicki, and Chase Brown. The Bengals have a quick turnaround to a Thursday game in Week 10, so Higgins will possibly miss that game as well.
  • BAL Cornerback #44
Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey (knee) is active for Week 9 against the Broncos.
Humphrey was listed as questionable heading into the weekend. The Ravens also have cornerbacks Nate Wiggins and Arthur Maulet healthy this week. Baltimore is still a favorable matchup for Bo Nix, but the Ravens’ getting their cornerback room healthy makes the matchup slightly less appealing. Inactive for the Ravens are S Eddie Jackson, CB Jalyn Armour-Davis, DE Brent Urban, RB Rasheen Ali, OLB David Ojabo, C Nick Samac, and OLB Adisa Issac.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #9
Chargers declared WR DJ Chark inactive for Los Angeles’ Week 9 game against the Browns.
He was deactivated despite being activated off injured reserve on Saturday and warming up with Justin Herbert, which certainly isn’t a great sign for whatever deep league value he might have. Herbert will have Quentin Johnston (ankle) and Ladd McConkey (hip) today alongside Josh Palmer. Also inactive for the Chargers are CB Kristian Fulton, TE Stone Smartt, OL Brenden Jaimes, DL Justin Eboigbe, OL Jordan McFadden, and third quarterback Easton Stick.
