Travis Kelce said “I still got a lot of football left in me” when asked about the possibility of retiring.
Kelce is 35 and coming off a season in which he posted the lowest YPR (8.5) of his career while also finishing with a career-low 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns. His 1.43 YPRR and 3.5 YAC/REC were also new lows. His 131 targets were on par with his career average, but it didn’t always feel that way. With his decline appearing obvious, there’s no denying that his 97-823-3 line is still a step above what an average tight end would produce in a given season. Kelce’s contract will expire at the end of the the 2025 campaign. Whether or not his tone changes after Sunday’s game against the Eagles is to be determined, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Kelce returned next season and gave more serious thoughts to retiring after his contract has expired.

Chiefs signed WR Tyquan Thornton to a reserve/future contract.
The former second-round pick was waived by the Patriots midseason and landed on Kansas City’s practice squad. He never made an appearance for the team but will get a shot at a roster spot this summer. The Chiefs also signed WR Justyn Ross, WR Jason Brownlee, S Deon Bush, TE Baylor Cupp, DT Siaki Ika, OT Chukwuebuka Godrick, DT Fabien Lovett, QB Chris Oladokun, CB Darius Rush, and CB Eric Scott to R/F deals.
  • ATL Wide Receiver #16
Falcons signed WR Phillip Dorsett to a reserve/future contract.
Dorsett spent most of 2023 and the summer of 2024 bouncing between the Broncos’ practice squad and active roster. He appeared in two games for them two years ago but was cut by Denver before the start of last season. Dorsett joined Atlanta’s practice squad in October but never saw any action on the game-day roster. He will be fighting for a roster spot this summer. The Falcons also signed QB Emory Jones, RB Elijah Dotson, WR Jesse Matthews, WR Dylan Drummond, OL Joey Fisher, OL Jovaughn Gwyn, OL Tyrone Wheatley Jr., DL Junior Aho, DB Lamar Jackson, DE Khalid Kareem, DB Benny Sapp III, WR Makai Polk, OL Matthew Cindric, DL LaCale London, WR David Sills, and TE Nikola Kalinic to R/F deals.
  • MIN Running Back #30
Vikings FB C.J. Ham underwent a “simple procedure,” apparently on his right ankle.
In a photo posted by his wife, Ham can be seen sporting a boot on his right foot post-op. The caption indicates it was a “simple procedure” and beat reporter Ben Goessling helpfully notes, “Ham was on the injury report with an ankle injury toward the end of the season, though he didn’t miss any games.” Ham should be good to go for training camp.
  • FA General Manager
FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports “the Jaguars will interview former Titans GM Jon Robinson for their” general manager vacancy.
Robinson spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons away from football following a bumpy end to his 2016-2022 stint as the Titans’ general manager. Robinson infamously jettisoned star WR A.J. Brown in the 2022 offseason but ill-fated early-round draft picks and questionable veteran WR acquisitions also loom large in his rearview. Perhaps Robinson has refined his processes during his time away from the game.

TMZ reports Kadarius Toney was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, strangulation, and obstructing/harassing 911 calls.
According to TMZ, Toney has been accused of “putting his hand around a woman’s throat during a dispute at a Georgia residence on Jan. 14.” Warrants were put out for his arrest the next day and he was brought in by the police on February 6th. Toney briefly played for the Browns last year but was cut after muffing a punt and being penalized for taunting. His career was already hanging on by a thread before this incident. Needless to say, we have seen the last NFL snap for the former first-round pick.
  • Quarterback
Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders is visiting with the Browns and Giants.
Sanders mentioned the visits in a video from Well Off Media, the YouTube channel of his older brother Deion Sanders Jr. The visits themselves are still about a month away meaning the NFL Combine is next up for Sanders in the pre-draft process. As of a few weeks ago, Sanders had not determined if he would throw at the combine, though he will meet with plenty of teams in Indy. The Browns and Giants are on the clock directly after Tennessee at No. 1 overall. With both teams ready to move in new directions at quarterback, they are already starting their due diligence on the highly-touted prospect.
  • NO Coaching Staff
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Saints have given senior offensive assistant Rick Dennison permission to speak to the Seahawks.
Dennison got his start in the NFL alongside Gary Kubiak with the Broncos. He has remained close with the Kubiak’s throughout his career and recently joined Klint Kubiak in New Orleans for the 2024 season. Kubiak was fired after one season but landed another offensive coordinator gig, this time in Seattle. Though the exact details of Dennison’s departure haven’t been ironed out, all signs point toward him joining Kubiak in the northwest.
  • CIN Linebacker #57
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Bengals LB Germaine Pratt has requested a trade.
Pratt earned a starting role with the Bengals as a rookie in 2019 and never gave it up. He has started 77 regular season games plus seven postseason contests for the Bengals over the past five years. Pratt led the team with 143 tackles in 2024. He also tallied two forced fumbles, recovered fumbles, and interceptions in what might have been his final year in Cincinnati. According to Rapoport, Pratt was close with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo before he was fired at the end of the season. He is also about to enter the final year of his contract and the Bengals have prioritized spending on offense in recent years. It may be best for both sides if the veteran linebacker is traded. The Bengals can also clear $5.9 million in space if no trade partner is found and they choose to cut Pratt.
  • KC Tight End #87
Travis Kelce said he would “take some time” to decide whether he’ll return to the Chiefs in 2025.
“I’m gonna take some time to figure it out,” Kelce, 35, said Tuesday on his New Heights podcast. “And I think I owe it to my teammates that if I do come back that it’s gonna be a wholehearted decision and I’m not half-assing it, and I’m fully here for them.” In 2024, Kelce saw big drop offs in production and efficiency, finishing the season with the lowest yards per route run of his NFL career. He averaged 3.9 yards after the catch per reception, the lowest mark of his illustrious career with KC. Even so, Kelce trailed only Brock Bowers and Trey McBride in tight end catches last season. “I think I can play, it’s just whether or not I’m motivated or it’s the best decision for me as a man, as a human, as a person to take on all that responsibility,” Kelce said. If he steps away, the Chiefs would likely reconfigure their passing attack around Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice.
Is Kelce a top 10 tight end if he returns in 2025?
Patrick Daugherty, Denny Carter and Kyle Dvorchak discuss the possibility of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce retiring, examining whether the veteran is still a top 10 player at his position if he returns in 2025.

Vikings WR Jordan Addison filed for a continuance of his DUI case stemming from a July 2024 incident.
Addison was charged with a DUI in July 2024. He did not face suspension in the 2024 season, but it is possible he will face some sort of consequence in 2025. Addison filed for a continuance and now has a pretrial hearing scheduled for March 12. The pending outcome of his case will lead to a decision on the NFL’s part on whether or not the league suspends Addison.
