Boston Sports Journal’s Greg Bedard writes the Patriots “are at least contemplating” trading Joe Milton III this offseason.
“I thought the Patriots would hold off on entertaining a trade of Joe Milton, who was drafted in the sixth round (193rd overall) last year, for at least another season, but there’s increasing belief around the NFL that the Patriots are at least contemplating a trade of Milton this offseason,” Bedard writes. Milton, who had an unbelievable debut against the Bills in Week 18 that featured several ridiculous throws, may have Matt Flynned himself into a quarterback-needy team’s plans for 2025. “Again, I’m not saying he’s on the block right now, but the Patriots will likely consider it when everything settles with the front office and coaching staff,” Bedard adds. Milton III could be an intriguing, low-cost move for a team with quarterback needs that is up against the cap, like the Browns or Saints.

Nick Chubb told reporters that he hopes to re-sign with the Browns.
When asked whether his goal is to return to the Browns this offseason, Chubb simply said, “of course.” He later added that he’s not sure how free agency will pan out, with this being the first time hitting the open market but that he’d “like to get it done sooner than later.” Chubb can likely still operate effectively as a rotational rusher. He may be asked to take a discount of sorts though, given his recent injury history.
  • PHI Center #51
Eagles C Cam Jurgens (back) was removed from the injury report and will play in Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs.
Jurgens and Dickerson (knee) practiced in full all week, indicating the Eagles’ dominant offensive line is ready for a hard day’s work against a stout Chiefs defensive front. The Eagles will undoubtedly attempt to control the game through a high-volume rushing attack and having both Jurgens and Dickerson on-field helps increase their odds of doing so.
  • PHI Tight End #88
Dallas Goedert (ankle) was removed from the injury report and will play in Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs.
Goedert practiced in full all week, indicating his ankle injury is no longer a concern. The talented veteran tight end will play an important role in the Eagles’ concentrated target tree. The team’s No. 2 wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) remained limited all week and although Smith is active, Goedert could easily end up functioning as the team’s No. 2 receiving weapon, should Smith’s injury limit him.
Will Brown lead Super Bowl LIX in receiving yards?
Patrick Daugherty and Denny Carter debate who will have the most receiving yards in Super Bowl LIX, questioning whether Travis Kelce will have a vintage game and if A. J. Brown can take advantage of a good matchup.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #18
Eagles WR/PR Britain Covey (neck) will not play in Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs.
Covey practiced in full throughout the week, but the Eagles don’t have a roster spot to spare for him. He is currently on injured reserve and would take up a roster spot if activated. Cooper DeJean will handle the point return duties versus Kansas City.
  • PHI Running Back #14
Kenneth Gainwell (knee/concussion) was removed from the injury report and will play in Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs.
Gainwell was limited in this week’s first practice but practiced in full on Thursday and Friday. Saquon Barkley’s primary backup is good to go. Whether the Eagles choose to meaningfully incorporate Gainwell is unknown but the backfield is at full strength.
  • PHI Defensive End #55
Eagles EDGE Brandon Graham (triceps) is questionable for Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs.
Graham was upgraded to a full practice to close the week, giving him a good shot at suiting up on Sunday. He is currently on injured reserve and needs to be officially activated over the weekend, meaning we will know his status well before kickoff. Graham suffered a torn triceps in Week 12 and has been out ever since. The veteran defensive end had 3.5 sacks and six TFLs through 11 games.
  • PHI Defensive Tackle #98
Eagles DT Jalen Carter (illness) was removed from the injury report and will play in Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs.
Carter was added injury report with the illness earlier this week. Right tackle Lane Johnson later told reporters Carter was one of a handful of Philly players dealing with an illness. Carter was the only player on the injury report because of it and was only limited in one practice this week. He was a full-go for the other two sessions. Carter led Philly with a dozen TFLs during the regular season and added 4.5 sacks to his stat sheet.
  • PHI Linebacker #53
Eagles LB Zack Baun (groin) was removed from the injury report and will play in Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs.
Baun was held out of Friday’s practice last week but returned for three full sessions this week. A day after finishing fifth in Defensive Player of the Year voting, Baun is all clear with Super Bowl LIX two days away. Baun has been a breakout star for Philly, leading the team in tackles (151) while finishing second on the roster in TFLs (11) during the regular season.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #6
DeVonta Smith (hamstring) was removed from the injury report and will play in Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs.
The most important takeaway from Smith’s two-week practice saga is that the team has cleared him to play on Super Bowl Sunday. He did, however, miss all three practices last week and remained limited in all three this week. The Eagles have lately embraced an extremely conservative approach to load management during the practice week but it would have been great to see Smith graduate to full participation today. He must now play through the nagging soft tissue issue.
  • KC Punter #14
Chiefs P Matt Araiza (illness) was removed from the injury report and will play in Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles.
Araiza was added to the injury report yesterday but practiced in full. The Chiefs were just doing their due diligence with the practice report and Araiza is good to go for a game that hopefully won’t need his punting services very much.
