Feb. 3-9

Great Options
Andrei Vasilevskiy – Tampa Bay Lightning
Schedule: Tue vs. VGK, Thu. vs. PIT, Sat vs. NYI
The Bolts will face some tough opponents next week, but they’re playing all three of their games at home and they’ve been terrific as of late. Vasilevskiy will continue to be an amazing fantasy option going forward.
Jordan Binnington – St. Louis Blues
Schedule: Tue vs. CAR, Thu vs. WPG, Sat vs. DAL
Binnington has started just one of the last three games, but Jake Allen lost those two games. It’s a good week for the Blues, as they’ll play all three of their games at home. Binnington should provide his fantasy owners with some solid value.
Sergei Bobrovsky – Florida Panthers
Schedule: Mon at TOR, Tue at CBJ, Thu vs. VGK, Sat vs. PIT
Bobrovsky has been back for three games since dealing with an upper-body injury and he’s been victorious in all three of those games. The 31-year-old has a 19-2-4 record with a 3.24 goals-against-average and a .898 save percentage this season. His fantasy stock is in good shape.
Frederik Andersen – Toronto Maple Leafs
Schedule: Mon vs. FLA, Wed at NYR, Fri vs. ANA, Sat at MTL
The Leafs give up their share of goals, but they also find a way to put the puck in the net quite a bit. Andersen will continue to get a huge workload because the Leafs don’t have another goalie they trust.
Good Options
Carey Price – Montreal Canadiens
Schedule: Tue at NJ, Thu vs. ANA, Sat vs. TOR
Price has won three of his last four games and five of his last six. It’s been a tough year for Montreal, but they’ve been better as of late. Price should continue to get a high number of starts.
Tuukka Rask AND Jaroslav Halak – Boston Bruins
Schedule: Tue vs. VAN, Wed at CHI, Sat vs. ARZ, Sun at DET
Halak and Rask will both have value next week because the Bruins are playing two back-to-back sets. The Bruins haven’t been as dominant as they were early in the year, but they’re still good enough to muster up some fantasy value for both their goalies.
Connor Hellebuyck – Winnipeg Jets
Schedule: Tue vs. NSH, Thu at STL, Sat vs. OTT
Hellebuyck has kept the Jets in the playoff hunt. He’s had ups and downs, but it’s impossible not to give him credit when you look at what the Jets are rolling out on their blue line. Nothing will come easy to Winnipeg between now and the end of the season. They’ll need their goalie to keep them in games.
Bad Options
Petr Mrazek – Carolina Hurricanes
Schedule: Tue at STL, Thu at ARZ, Sat at VGK
If you have Mrazek on your fantasy team, you shouldn’t avoid him entirely. But he’s not an optimal fantasy play at this point. The Hurricanes will hit the road all week and they’ll get some difficult matchups against three teams that are currently sitting in a playoff spot.
John Gibson – Anaheim Ducks
Schedule: Tue at OTT, Thu at MTL, Fri at TOR, Sun at BUF
Gibson is one of the solid goalies in the NHL, but he’s playing on a team that’s championship window has closed. He has just two wins in his last seven games. All four teams they play against next week aren’t in the playoffs right now, but the Ducks aren’t good either.
Jonathan Quick – Los Angeles Kings
Schedule: Tue at WSH, Thu at NYI, Sat at NJ, Sun at NYR
Quick and the Kings will spend the whole week on the East Coast. The veteran has dropped each of his last four games and he has just one victory in his last eight contests. Quick has an 11-18-3 record with a 3.01 goals-against-average and a .895 save percentage this season.
