NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.
Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.
Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Kirill Kaprizov (Minnesota) - W - $8,000 (FanDuel), $8,000 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo)
Kaprizov has high cap hits across the board for Monday’s light slate, but he could be worth spending up for. After all, he has only been held off the scoresheet twice in his past 10 outings. Kaprizov, who has six goals, nine assists and 40 shots during that stretch, had a seven-game point streak over that span. He also had one goal and three helpers on Nov. 18 in his first career appearance against Dallas.
Joe Pavelski (Dallas) - W - $5,900 (FanDuel), $5,600 (DraftKings), C - $21 (Yahoo)
Pavelski leads the Stars in scoring with 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 28 games. He has potted six of his 11 goals on the power play this year, including two in a four-point performance on Saturday against Chicago. He can be stacked with linemates Roope Hintz and/or Jason Robertson.
Max Domi (Columbus) - W - $4,800 (FanDuel), $3,500 (DraftKings), C - $17 (Yahoo)
Boone Jenner and Jack Roslovic went into COVID-19 protocol on Sunday, which could place Domi in an elevated role on Monday night against Buffalo. He has four goals and two assists in his past six outings. Domi also had one goal and two helpers versus Columbus in his last meeting against Buffalo on Nov. 22.

Defensemen:
John Klingberg (Dallas) - $4,000 (FanDuel), $5,300 (DraftKings), $16 (Yahoo)
Klingberg has heated up with one goal and three assists during a three-game point streak heading into Monday night’s action. He picked up two points on the man advantage in Saturday’s victory over Chicago, including the overtime winner.

Luukkonen brings the potential for the most bang for your buck option between the pipes. He has won his last two starts, which came against Minnesota and Winnipeg, while stopping 64 of 68 shots. Luukkonen has a 1.96 goals-against average and .939 save percentage in five appearances with the Sabres this campaign.
