DRAFT is back for another season of quick and exciting daily fantasy action. Their DFS platform offers poolies with a chance to participate in a format that most of us have grown very accustomed to over the years. You can compete in a live snake draft in which the participants take a player with each pick. Unlike other DFS games, this gives you the opportunity to use your knowledge to craft a team that no one else will have because the players you select cannot be chosen by your competition.
The draft is quick as you are allotted just 30 seconds per pick and you take five players. Your team is comprised of three forwards, a defenseman and a goalie.
Your strategy can be dictated by the positions being selected ahead of you. For instance, if you are going last and everyone else has a goaltender then you can wait until your last pick to make that selection. Of course, selecting players going up against weaker competition or players who are riding hot streaks are always popular strategies as well.
Remember, there are new pools available to play in but the players in my rankings will fall off the table as soon as the puck drops in their respective game.

Kucherov’s four-game point streak came to an end Monday night, but he hasn’t been held off the scoresheet for two straight games since Feb. 7-9. He has been a scoring machine this year and had two assists in his last meeting versus Washington. Matthews has heated up again and he has five points (three goals, two assists) in three previous matches against Buffalo this season. Eichel has been quiet of late, so you may be able to take him later, but he has been great versus the Leafs in 2018-19 with four goals in three outings. Wheeler has one goal and four helpers over a four-game point streak going into Wednesday’s action. Getzlaf and Horvat should be on your radar, as they have been productive recently. The Ducks center has two goals and five helpers in his last five matches, while the Canucks pivot has two goals and six points in his past five contests.
Defense Rankings:
Hedman has accumulated 10 points in his last 10 games, including one goal and four assists during a five-game point spree. Rielly has been great this campaign and he has three points (one goal, two assists) in three previous contests versus the Sabres this year. Carlson had a six-game point streak going into Tuesday night, but that came to an end against New Jersey. Edler has registered three goals and five points in the last seven games.
Goaltender Rankings:
Markstrom has played well of late with a 2-0-1 record and .950 save percentage in his last three starts. He will face the bottom-dwelling Ottawa Senators and possibly former teammate Anders Nilsson in the other net. Vasilevskiy stopped 31 of 34 shots in a 6-3 win over the Capitals this past Saturday. Washington will also be playing the second half of a back-to-back situation. Hellebuyck has a 2-0-0 record against the Ducks this campaign, but he has a 2.89 goals-against average and .900 save percentage during those matches. Buffalo’s goaltenders have struggled against Toronto this year and it’s hard to trust Leafs backup Garret Sparks, who could play the second half of the team’s back-to-back set. If Frederik Andersen starts again then he would slot in after Vasilevskiy.

Now, let’s also look at some players to consider for FanDuel and DraftKings.
Keep in mind that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL).
Ryan Getzlaf (ANA) - C - $6,100 (FanDuel), $4,900 (DraftKings)
William Nylander (TOR) - W - $4,900 (FanDuel), $4,400 (DraftKings)
Tyler Myers (WPG) - D - $4,200 (FanDuel), $3,900 (DraftKings)
Anthony Duclair (OTT) - W - $3,700 (FanDuel), $3,300 (DraftKings)
As previously mentioned, Getzlaf has been hot and he is especially a good value play on DraftKings. Nylander has been playing well alongside Matthews. Myers has four points (one goal, three assists) in the last six games, with three points coming in the past four outings. Duclair has one goal and one assist in the last two games. He has three markers and six points in 11 appearances with the Senators this year.
