The Chicago Blackhawks have won four straight games since Derek King replaced Jeremy Colliton as head coach of the team. The team got off to a disappointing 1-9-2 start prior to the coaching change.
Marc-Andre Fleury only had one win in his first eight starts, but now he has rattled off three wins a row while stopping 95 of 100 shots. He posted his 496th career victory on Wednesday night in a 4-2 win over the Seattle Kraken.
Patrick Kane, Alex DeBrincat and Seth Jones have been leading the team offensively since the start of the year and they have been red hot recently. DeBrincat had a Gordie Howe hat trick on Wednesday night with a goal, an assist and a fight. Kane notched one goal and one helper, while Jones opened the scoring versus the Kraken.

The Avalanche won for a third straight time, which includes two victories over the Canucks. Vancouver has gone winless in five consecutive matches.
Nazem Kadri and Mikko Rantanen led the way with three points apiece. They both had one goal and two assists.
Kadri has been white hot with four goals and nine helpers during a seven-game point streak.
Gabriel Landeskog, Cale Makar and Tucker Poolman collected one goal and one assist each.
Kadri and Makar scored on third-period power plays after Poolman gave the Canucks a 2-1 lead with his first goal as a member of the team.
Devon Toews, Jason Dickinson, Tyler Motte and Juho Lammikko picked up a helper apiece.
Darcy Kuemper turned aside 32 shots for his seventh win in 11 starts.
Thatcher Demko allowed three goals on 29 shots for his third straight loss.

Jared McCann (power play) and Yanni Gourde lit the lamp in the third period. McCann has six goals in 11 outings.

Jake McCabe sealed the win with an empty-netter for his first goal as a member of the Blackhawks.

The Capitals bounced back from Tuesday’s overtime loss to Anaheim and picked up their fifth win in the past six games.
Ilya Samsonov shielded all 34 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season. He has been victorious in all five of his starts this campaign.
Garnet Hathaway potted a pair of goals in third period, including an empty-netter. He has scored all five of his tallies in the last four contests. He also has an assist during that stretch.
John Carlson had the primary helper on both of Hathaway’s markers. He has accounted for five assists in a three-game point spree.
Evgeny Kuznetsov chipped a helper on Hathaway’s game winner at the 16:30 mark of the third.
Alex Ovechkin and Adrian Kempe tied for the game-high with six shots each.
Jonathan Quick blocked 36 of 37 shots, but came out on the losing end. He had his four-game winning streak snapped.
