Nazem Kadri (36%) has been hot and should be picked up immediately if he is available, especially with Nathan MacKinnon sidelined and J.T. Compher hurt on Saturday.

Adrian Kempe jumped from 6% when he appeared on Waiver Wired last week to 24%, while Oliver Kylington went from 3% to 9%. They should both be rostered in far more leagues.

Evan Bouchard jumped from being rostered in 28% of Yahoo leagues last week when he appeared on Waiver Wired to 41%. Mikael Granlund went from 22% to 30%, so he is still available in most pools. He has compiled 16 points, including 13 assists, in 15 outings. Rasmus Asplund cooled down a bit this week, but still went from 20% to 23%.

Mats Zuccarello is still available in 71% of Yahoo leagues. He has three goals and nine points in 10 games this season.

Now, let’s get into the recommendations for this week:

Ryan Hartman (Minnesota) - C, RW - Rostered in 31% of Yahoo leagues

Hartman is off to an outstanding start this season with seven goals and 11 points in 14 games. He begun the year as a top-six forward, but he has been centering the third line recently. Fortunately, that hasn’t slowed his point production. He has generated three goals and four assists in the past five games, while adding 19 shots, six hits and five blocks. Hartman has already matched his goal total from a season ago and appears to be trending towards a career-year offensively. Additionally, Minnesota plays four times this coming week.

Shayne Gostisbehere (Arizona) - D - Rostered in 31% of Yahoo leagues

Gostisbehere has been the catalyst for most of the Coyotes’ offense so far this season. He leads the team with 10 assists and 12 points through 15 games. He is also tied with Phil Kessel for the club lead in power-play points with four. Gostisbehere has averaged 20:12 of ice time per match this campaign, while contributing 27 shots and 18 blocks. He is worth riding while he is hot and has four games on tap this week to continue his productive start.

Anthony Cirelli (Tampa Bay) - C, RW - Rostered in 30% of Yahoo leagues

Cirelli has compiled three goals and nine points in 13 games to start out the 2021-22 campaign. He has played well alongside Brayden Point and Ondrej Palat, while continuing to get exposure to Steven Stamkos on the top power-play combination. Cirelli appears to be back on track after he took a bit of a step back offensively last season. He is worth scooping up with the Lightning set to play four times this week.

Reilly Smith (Vegas) - RW - Rostered in 24% of Yahoo leagues

Smith has appeared on Waiver Wired before this season and his play warrants more attention from fantasy managers. He has 50 shots on goal ranks him just outside the top-10, while his 11 points in 15 matches puts him third on the Golden Knights. Smith has supplied seven points in his past six outings, including three goals and two assists during a three-game point streak.

Anthony Beauvillier (NY Islanders) - LW - Rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues

Beauvillier was mentioned a week ago, but he wasn’t featured because of a light schedule for the Islanders. That will change this week with the team set to play four times. Beauvillier is having a solid year with three goals and seven points in 11 appearances, while skating on the second line with Brock Nelson (31%). He also has a spot on the top power-play unit and makes for an intriguing streaming option for at least week.

Robert Thomas (St. Louis) - C, RW - Rostered in 10% of Yahoo leagues

Thomas has piling up assists this season, while playing alongside Vladimir Tarasenko and Ivan Barbashev. He has 11 helpers across 13 games. Thomas has one goal and five assists in his past five outings. He has averaged a career-high 19:00 of ice time, while playing in all situations for the Blues.

Alexander Wennberg (Seattle) - C, LW - Rostered in 8% of Yahoo leagues

Wennberg leads the Kraken with nine assists and he is tied for second on the team with 11 points in 15 appearances. He is also tied for the team lead with three power-play points. Wennberg has been centering Seattle’s top line between Jaden Schwartz (24%) and Jordan Eberle (36%). He has one goal and six assists during a five-game point streak. Wennberg has two power-play points and 12 shots on target during that span.

Andreas Johnsson (New Jersey) - LW, RW - Rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues

Johnsson has already matched the point total and surpassed the amount of goals he had last season in 37 fewer contests. He was a 20-goal scorer in 2018-19 and it appears as though he has rediscovered his touch around the net. Johnsson has notched six markers and 11 points so far, which leads the Devils in both categories. He also leads New Jersey with 10 even-strength points. Johnsson has been on New Jersey’s most-productive line with rookie Dawson Mercer (8%) and Jesper Bratt (4%). Additionally, he has two goals and two assists during a three-game point streak.

Tage Thompson (Buffalo) - C, LW, RW - Rostered in 5% of Yahoo leagues

Thompson has been a pleasant surprise for the Sabres this season. The decision to utilize him as the team’s top-line center raised some eyebrows, but he has played well in the role. Thompson is tied for the team lead with five goals, while ranking second on Buffalo with nine points and 39 shots in 14 games. That includes three goals and five points in six outings this month. Thompson has clicked with Rasmus Asplund, who leads the Sabres with 10 points. The duo have played well with Jeff Skinner since Victor Olofsson was injured.

Valeri Nichushkin (Colorado) - LW, RW - Rostered in 2% of Yahoo leagues

Nichushkin has been limited to three games this season because of an upper-body injury and he has reached the scoresheet each time. He has one goal, two assists, four hits and five shots. That includes one goal and one helper since his return this week. Nichushkin has been playing on the second line of the Avalanche, while seeing time on the second power-play unit. Colorado only plays two times this week, but the team displayed plenty of offensive explosiveness by scoring 13 times in the past two matches. Nichushkin has the potential to have plenty of long-term fantasy value as well.

Honorable Mention:

Andreas Athanasiou (Los Angeles) - LW, RW - Rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues

Athanasiou has hit the ground running since making his season debut on Nov. 5 against New Jersey. His five-game point streak was snapped on Saturday, but he still warrants fantasy consideration thanks to his spot on the second line.
