Winnipeg’s Paul Stastny, who is rostered in just 16% of Yahoo leagues, was going to be featured below, but he suffered a potential injury on Saturday when he blocked a shot with his foot. If he is good to go this week then he should be picked up by fantasy managers.

New York Islanders forwards Brock Nelson (36%) and Anthony Beauvillier (17%) are good options as well, but they weren’t listed below because the team only plays one game this coming week.

Victor Olofsson jumped from 33% 42% after being highlighted on Waiver Wired a week ago despite missing three games with a soft-tissue injury. After appearing on Waiver Wired for two straight weeks, Troy Terry skyrocketed from 14% seven days ago to 56%.

Reilly Smith is still available in 78% of Yahoo leagues, while Charlie Coyle can be had in 89% of pools on the platform.

Let’s get into this week’s suggestions:

Mats Zuccarello (Minnesota) - RW - Rostered in 29% of Yahoo leagues

Zuccarello is poised to return to the Wild from COVID-19 protocol and he should provide the team with a jolt offensively. He was the team’s leading scorer when he went on the COVID-19 protocol list with three goals and seven points in six games. Zuccarello typically plays alongside Kirill Kaprizov at even strength and occupies a spot on the top power-play unit. He has amassed 29 goals and 79 points in 113 games with Minnesota.

Evan Bouchard (Edmonton) - D - Rostered in 28% of Yahoo leagues

Bouchard has already set a new career-high for points in a season with six through 10 games. The 22-year-old blueliner had three goals and three assists in 21 NHL appearances going into this campaign. Bouchard has been averaging 21:12 of ice time this season, while skating alongside Darnell Nurse on the top pairing. He has been utilized on the penalty kill, but hasn’t received much time on the power play behind Tyson Barrie and Nurse. Still, he has benefited tremendously from a larger role and from Edmonton’s high-powered offense. Bouchard also has 25 shots, 20 blocks and 10 hits so far in 2021-22.

Jaden Schwartz (Seattle) - C, RW - Rostered in 24% of Yahoo leagues

Schwartz’s five-game point streak came to an end on Saturday, but he is still worth scooping up if he is available because he has been a valuable offensive player for Seattle. He is tied for the team lead with six assists and eight points through 12 games. Schwartz also has 24 shots and 18 hits this year, while averaging 19:38 of ice time per contest.

Mikael Granlund (Nashville) - C, RW - Rostered in 22% of Yahoo leagues

Granlund has appeared on Waiver Wired before, including last week when he rostered in 9% of leagues. He has been a popular add recently, but he remains available in most pools. Granlund has added four more assists in three games to give him 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 11 contests this season. He has been clicking with Matt Duchene, which will be important for the Predators during Filip Forsberg’s absence due to injury.

Rasmus Asplund (Buffalo) - C, LW, RW - Rostered in 20% of Yahoo leagues

Asplund has been all over the scoresheet this season with four goals and 10 points in 11 games. He moved ahead of linemate Victor Olofsson, who has been out with an injury, for first on the Sabres in scoring. Asplund has two power-play points (one goal, one assist) and one shorthanded goal. The fact that he has remained productive despite Olofsson’s absence is encouraging for his long-term fantasy value. Asplund has three goals and five assists during a six-game point spree. He is already close to setting new personal bests offensively across the board in what is shaping up to be his breakout performance in the NHL.

Anton Lundell (Florida) - C - Rostered in 11% of Yahoo leagues

Lundell got back in the lineup on Thursday after he missed four games due to an upper-body injury. He got back on the scoresheet on Saturday, with a goal, when he filled in for ailing forward Sam Bennett on the second line between Jonathan Huberdeau and Owen Tippett. He has three goals and three assists in seven appearances to go along with 10 shots, 12 blocks and four hits. The 20-year-old rookie is worthy of fantasy consideration even if his time in the top-six forward group is brief because he has generated plenty of offense from the third line.

Barclay Goodrow (NY Rangers) - LW, RW - Rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues

Goodrow has three goals and five points in the past eight games. He has heated up while playing alongside Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider in the top-six forward group of the Rangers. Goodrow also has 17 shots and 28 hits this season. If he maintains that spot with Zibanejad and Kreider then he will have fantasy value at least until he cools down.

Adrian Kempe (Los Angeles) - LW, RW - Rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues

Kempe has heated up with three goals and five points in the past five games. That includes two goals and two assists during a three-game point streak. Kempe has meshed nicely with Alex Iafallo on the second line and he has been playing on the top power-play unit. He was hot and cold offensively last season, but makes for a good streaming option at the very least with the Kings set to play four times this week.

Oliver Kylington (Calgary) - D - Rostered in 3% of Yahoo leagues

Kylington has compiled one goal and six assists during a six-game point streak. He also has 15 shots on target and 12 blocks in 10 outings this season. Kylington has stepped up for the Flames this year as a top-four blueliner and he has been a good contributor at the AHL level. It appears as though his offensive game in the NHL is rounding into form.

Alexander Kerfoot (Toronto) - C, LW, RW - Rostered in 2% of Yahoo leagues

Kerfoot has supplied one goal and three assists in the past four games. He has been skating alongside Mitch Marner, who has heated up following a slow start, and John Tavares, who leads the Maple Leafs in goals and points. Toronto has four games scheduled for this week, which makes Kerfoot an intriguing short-term option.

Honorable Mention:

Pius Suter (Detroit) - C, RW - Rostered in 3% of Yahoo leagues

Suter notched one goal and one assist along with seven shots in Saturday’s overtime win over Buffalo after being elevated to the top line between Tyler Bertuzzi and Lucas Raymond. He will have fantasy value as long as he maintains that spot. Dylan Larkin has missed the last three games for personal reasons and it is unclear when he will return.
