Much to the delight of the patrons of Augusta National, Ben Crenshaw will tee it up in his 42nd Masters this week.

Gentle Ben has made 25 cuts, but only two in the last 15 years. That happened when he was 47th in 2006 and tied for 55th in 2007. Given the length of the golf course, his recent pilgrimage has turned into a series of victory laps for a crowd that remembers his 1984 and 1995 triumphs as if they were a little more recent than they really are.
