Vincent Norrman came from off the pace to twirl a 7-under 65 on the final day of the Horizon Irish Open, good for a one-shot win when all was said and done, reaching 14-under 274 for the week.
Norrman had a breakout win in the summer, snagging his maiden at the Barbasol Championship. Less than two months later, and he’s bagged another pro win, this time on the DP World circuit. He held off home favorites Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy, “I’m just as starstruck as some of those fans out here seeing those guys, and to be competing against them is so cool. Yeah, to beat them is even cooler.” Norrman is now 7th on the Race to Dubai points list and will keep his focus overseas as he readies for the BMW PGA Championship.

Vincent Norrman styled a 6-under 66 on Sunday at the Barbasol Championship, good enough for a spot in a two-man playoff with Nathan Kimsey. Norrman would quickly win that playoff to become a PGA Tour winner.
The PGA Tour rookie out of Sweden arrived on the heels of a T24 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. His previous notable finishes included a T9 at the Zurich Classic team event and a T8 at the AT&T Byron Nelson. With this win, Norrman climbs to 61st in the FedExCup race, just inside of the key top-70 bubble that will crack the Playoffs. “I don’t think I can process this for a while. I’m lost for words. It’s amazing.” Norrman will look to keep his momentum rolling at the Barracuda Championship where he opened as a 25-1 outright betting option.

PGA TOUR rookie Vincent Norrman steadied a 1-under 71 during round two of the Farmers Insurance Open, climbing to 6-under 138 to share a slice of fourth place with 36 holes remaining.
The Florida State product has been ho-hum from tee-to-green this week (T67 fairways hit and T77 GIR) but let his short game go to work with 13 birdies to erase seven bogeys. “It’s my first time being up there on the PGA TOUR, so I’m super excited. I’m going to have a lot of fun this weekend.” He was T12 after round one which was his best position after any round and now he’s T4 to find himself in a new position heading into the final 36 holes at Torrey Pines.

Swedish rookie Vincent Norrman recorded his second top-three finish in his last four Korn Ferry Tour starts on Sunday at the REX Hospital Open, finishing T-2 with Andrew Yun at 16-under 268 – one shot behind first-time winner Davis Thompson.
According to PGA Tour stats, the 24-year-old Norrman made just three bogeys for the week, two fewer scores of bogey or worse than any other player in the field at The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh, N.C., where he made his 14th KFT start. On the season, Norrman has made seven cuts in 14 starts with his other top 10 coming in May at the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation, where he finished T-3. Norrman is in the field for this week’s BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX, hosted by Thornblade Club in Greer, S.C.

Korn Ferry Tour rookie Vincent Norrman posted a career-high finish Sunday at the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation, where he finished T-3 to best his T-12 from The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at The Abaco Club earlier this year.
The 24-year-old Swede moved into contention with four birdies on his front nine at The Grove in College Grove, Tenn., and he took the outright lead following a birdie at the par-4 16th, but he made double bogey at the par-4 17th and par at 18 to finish at 14 under and come up two strokes shy of first-time winner Brent Grant at 16-under 272. Norrman’s 5-under 67 on Sunday tied for the second-lowest score of the final round (Mark Anderson posted a 6-under 66 Sunday to finish T-8). On the season, Norrman has made five cuts in 11 KFT starts, with three top 25s. He’s in the field for this week’s Visit Knoxville Open, hosted at Holston Hills Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn.

World No. 517 Vincent Norrman has found some early success since turning pro and will now test his talents on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2022.
The young Swede had an impressive year on the DP World Tour. He cracked the field at the Scandinavian Mixed event in mid-June and posted a T12 to put his name on the map. Norrman followed it up with three more top 15s in his next four starts. After the season was over he came back to the States and finished T2 at Final State of Korn Ferry Tour Q-School. That locked up at least 12 starts for him in 2022 and he’ll look to use that as a springboard into further success. Gamers should give him a frequent look in weekly leagues because he’s already shown the ability to contend on the DP World Tour.
