‘27 Years: The Exoneration of Valentino Dixon’

Thumbnail

In 1991, on a Buffalo, N.Y. street corner, Torriano Jackson was killed.

The man charged, convicted and sent to prison for the crime, without the possibility of parole until 2030, was Valentino Dixon.

But on Sept. 19, 2018, Dixon walked out of prison as an innocent man.

How did this happen? Why did this happen?

The Golf Films documentary, “27 Years: The Exoneration of Valentino Dixon”, explores the wrongs attributed to Dixon and the significant role golf, of all things, played in an exasperating and astonishing road to freedom. The film premieres Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. ET. You can watch the trailer below.
