She was in Augusta during Masters Week and when she was watching The Masters unfold, she said that it was an excellent tournament with a very exciting finish. The tournament begins on the second nine on Sunday and this year was no different. Watson was playing very well all week and she felt that he had a real chance to win not only because of his game but also because it was so obvious that his heart was in it. When she saw Bubba’s tee shot on the second playoff hole, she had concerns that he was not going to win. The fact that he pulled off a shot with a 40 yard hook using a wedge was unbelievable.
If someone had told her that a guy named Bubba who grew up in the Florida Panhandle would win The Masters, she would thought that idea was crazy. But Bubba has such a great story and it is wonderful that he has his own swing and does not have an entourage of coaches and therapists. Another significant aspect of Bubba is the close relationship that he has with his caddie as well as other TOUR players who went out to watch him during the playoff.
Peter Hanson was the big story in Sweden because a Swede has never won a Men’s Major. She knows how much pressure he was under trying to sleep with the 54 hole lead and the entire nation of Sweden was rooting for him to win. Unfortunately he did not get off to a good start but his tie for third was a very impressive finish.
It was unfortunate to see Phil put up some big numbers which resulted in him missing the playoff by two shots. The slogan of “what will Phil do next” is very appropriate as you had no idea if something good or bad was about to happen and on Sunday, there was more bad than good.
If you are an emotional person, you need to figure out an effective way to express those emotions in order to be able to be comfortable with your emotions and comfortable in the way that you express them. Otherwise, you will not be able to be at your best because you are not going to be able to be comfortable in who you are and what you are doing. Fortunately, Bubba is clearly comfortable in who he is and how he expresses his emotions.
After dancing a salsa with Tony Dovolani, Annika said that she is a fan of Dancing With the Stars and it is on in her house very often but she is concerned with how much time she would need to commit to the show and if she would be able to commit to that much time. In the past, she has said that she would be interested in participating on Dancing With the Stars.
Tiger Woods did not have a very good week at Augusta National and she had picked Tiger as one to contend in the 76th Masters Tournament. Tiger seemed like a different person than he was at Bay Hill and it was very surprising and very sad to see him play poorly at a place that he has owned over the years. He did not seem comfortable on the course at all. In the past we have seen Tiger play according to feel and hit amazing shots but now it seems like he is only focused on making a technically perfect golf swing regardless of the result.
When asked about the incident when Tiger Woods kicked a club on the 16th hole and about whether or not disciplinary actions should be made public, she said that although we do not need to know the size of the fines, the PGA TOUR should make it public when disciplinary action has been taken and if a player has been suspended. If you have such a good image, you do not behave badly. She said that it would good if the PGA TOUR at least behind closed doors encouraged players to improve their behavior so that there will hopefully be fewer controversies.
