Well, so much for that.
A day after Golf Channel’s John Feinstein offered that Davis Love III could be an interesting option as Tiger Woods’ next swing coach, the former PGA champion took to social media to defuse the notion that he might switch roles from player to coach.
Love posted to both Instagram and Twitter that he has no interest in following in the footsteps of Butch Harmon, Hank Haney and Sean Foley - although he may have a thing or two to teach the 14-time major champion off the course:
Paddle Board, Snowboard, and fishing coach for sure, lots of great golf coaches out there! pic.twitter.com/dBwvh5TZyE

Love, who turned 50 in April, is a lifetime member of the PGA Tour and played a full schedule in 2014, making the cut in 15 of 22 starts. While he is eligible to play the Champions Tour, he has consistently expressed a desire to remain competitive on the PGA Tour instead of playing the senior circuit against some of his former peers.
