HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – One of the first players Jordan Spieth came across on Wednesday at Harbour Town was Zach Johnson, who happens to be the last player to win the Masters and play the next week at the RBC Heritage.
In the brief exchange Johnson had with Spieth, he made a point to mention the nice garment bag Augusta National officials give the champion to carry the coveted green jacket.
“Did you see the garment bag? The garment bag with the green jacket,” Johnson joked when asked about his exchange with Spieth, who can be seen with said bag in this tweet from Monday afternoon:
.@JordanSpieth wasn't kidding. He's taking his jacket everywhere. #TheMasters pic.twitter.com/UDmwkVESBG

The 2007 Masters winner is largely responsible for the bag and a list of guidelines Augusta National officials now give to a champion.
When Johnson won there was no garment bag and the only thing he could find to carry the green jacket in was a garbage bag. He compounded that problem by wearing the green jacket in Times Square with jeans on.
“So, a no-no on the bag, a no-no on the jeans,” Johnson said last year. “When [Trevor Immelman] won the next year, he has this nice garment bag and I believe they give a brief description of what you should do and shouldn’t do.”
Spieth laughed when asked about Johnson’s story. “That’s funny. It’s a really nice garment bag,” he smiled.
