The Race to Augusta just got a little tighter.

Tianlang Guan, the 14-year-old vying to become the youngest participant in Masters history, shot a third-round 72 Saturday and will take a two-shot lead into the final round of the Asia-Pacific Amateur. The winner of the event receives an invitation to The Masters and a spot in International Final Qualifying for the British Open.

Guan, who has led after each round, holds a two-shot advantage over Australia’s Oliver Goss, who shot 69 in Round 3. Guan sits at 14 under par.

“We all started a little bit slow,” he said. “I felt a bit nervous and everybody looked a little bit nervous to start with, and there was not much talking. I then started focus on my own game and felt pretty relaxed on the back nine, got a few birdies, so it was all right.”
