Hector Noesi signed a one-year contract with the Fubon Guardians of the Chinese Professional Baseball League.
The right-hander will earn around $500,000. Noesi had signed a minor league deal with the Pirates last December, but wound up opting out of playing in 2020 due to family concerns. The 33-year-old hurler owns a 5.51 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 303/160 K/BB ratio over 423 innings in 119 appearances at the big league level in his career.

Hector Noesi has decided against playing in 2020.
Noesi cited family concerns as the reason he won’t be playing in 2020. There is a chance that the right-hander wouldn’t have made the Pirates, anyway, as he’s coming off a season where he allowed an 8.46 ERA over 27 2/3 innings for Miami in 2019. He’ll likely be organizational depth for someone -- possibly Pittsburgh -- in 2021.

Pirates signed RHP Hector Noesi to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Noesi surrendered 26 earned runs over 27 2/3 innings this past summer with the Marlins for an ERA of 8.46. The 32-year-old right-hander is highly doubtful to hold any fantasy relevance next season in Pittsburgh.

Marlins sent RHP Hector Noesi outright to Triple-A New Orleans.
Noesi posted a wretched 8.46 ERA in 27 2/3 innings (four starts, eight relief appearances) this season with Miami. The 32-year-old is now off the 40-man roster and will be a minor league free agent this winter.

Hector Noesi was slammed for seven runs over three innings Friday against the Phillies.
And somehow he didn’t get the loss, as the Marlins battled back against Vince Velasquez and eventually won the game. Noesi was in trouble from the start, giving up an RBI double to J.T. Realmuto and a bases-clearing triple to Scott Kingery in the first inning. He allowed six hits in all while walking three. Noesi holds a brutal 11.29 ERA through four starts with the Marlins and doesn’t appear long for a rotation (or roster) spot.

Hector Noesi was rocked for six runs over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Rockies on Saturday.
Noesi was battered for five hits, including a two-run homer by Trevor Story in the second inning and a solo shot by Charlie Blackmon in the fifth inning. The 32-year-old righty walked three batters and only struck out two batters. He’s given up five runs in each of his three starts since joining the Marlins’ starting rotation earlier this month. He’ll carry a disastrous 9.39 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 13/9 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Phillies at home on Friday. He should be avoided in all fantasy formats.

Hector Noesi allowed five runs on four hits over six innings in Sunday’s loss to the Braves.
Noesi was able to rack up eight strikeouts (against three walks) over his six innings of work, but a pair of home runs put a damper on his day. With the Marlins up 3-1 with two outs in the fourth inning, the right-hander coughed up a three-run home run to Ender Inciarte to lose the advantage. One frame later, Ronald Acuna burned him for a solo shot, the final run which Noesi would allow in the contest. In two starts since being brought up to the bigs on Aug. 6, Noesi has allowed 10 runs on nine hits with an 11/6 K/BB ratio in 11 innings. He will try for a more serviceable outing in a road showdown with the Rockies when he next takes to the mound.

Hector Noesi allowed five runs over five innings in his season debut Tuesday against the Mets.
Noesi walked three and gave up five hits, including a pair of homers, over his five innings, taking the loss in the outing. The 32-year-old had a 3.82 ERA in 21 starts at Triple-A, not an awful mark in the offense-heavy Pacific Coast League, before Tuesday’s season debut. Noesi’s task doesn’t get any easier Sunday when he faces the Braves in his second start.

Marlins purchased the contract of RHP Hector Noesi from Triple-A New Orleans.
Noesi will actually make the start Tuesday night against the Mets. The 32-year-old hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2015 and posted a 3.82 ERA over 21 starts in Triple-A this year. He’s not a fantasy option.

Marlins reassigned RHP Hector Noesi, LHP Mike Kickham, and C Rodrigo Vigil to minor league camp.
Miami is starting to make final cuts in Jupiter, Florida. Noesi last appeared in the majors in 2015, when he posted a 6.89 ERA over 32 2/3 innings with the White Sox. He’ll function as organizational relief depth for the Fish in 2019.
