Chargers DE Igor Olshansky sprained his MCL in Monday’s game.

Former Dolphins DE Igor Olshansky was arrested Thursday on charges of marijuana possession.
Busted as part of a sting involving 279 other people arrested, Olshansky was waived on Wednesday and had the weed on Thursday. Olshansky’s career looks to be flaming out at age 29. He definitely won’t be claimed off waivers.

    Dolphins waived DE Igor Olshansky.
Olshansky was starting to rock the boat in Miami, so he gets the ax. He was inactive last week and reportedly unhappy with his playing time. In eight appearances this year, Olshansky has eight tackles and no sacks.

Dolphins signed DE Igor Olshansky to a one-year contract.
The Cowboys released Olshansky at final cuts rather than pay him $3.34 million as a backup. He’ll likely make closer to the veteran minimum in Miami while providing depth with Tony McDaniel (hand) out. According to Pro Football Focus, Olshansky graded out as a fine run defender in Dallas last season.

The Chargers are not in talks with contract-year DE Igor Olshansky.
The 6'6/310-pound behemoth isn’t expected back with the Bolts in 2009. Igor will be motivated to cash in next offseason. San Diego doesn’t have an obvious successor in place, though, aside from utilityman Jacques Cesaire.

Cowboys coaches credited Igor Olshansky with 76 tackles last season.
Olshansky was a major part of the improved run defense, dominating the trenches in his first year as a Cowboy. At a bargain price, he and Stephen Bowen more than made up for the loss of Chris Canty.

Chargers DE Igor Olshansky was ejected near the end of San Diego’s 35-27 victory on Sunday night after punching center Tom Nalen in the helmet.
Olshansky was upset after Nalen threw an apparent cut block his way while Jake Plummer was spiking the ball. The ejection and corresponding penalty cost the Broncos 15 yards that could have led to a game-tying touchdown.

The Packers reportedly plan to pursue free agent DE Igor Olshansky after losing out on Chris Canty.
Olshansky has never been as productive as Canty, but he should come at half the price. Green Bay needs competition for projected LE Johnny Jolly Jr.
