Desmond Lindsay clubbed two home runs to lead the Scottsdale Scorpions over the Salt River Rafters on Friday in Arizona Fall League action.
The 21-year-old outfielder was the Mets’ second-round pick in the 2015 draft. He has largely failed to live up to expectations thus far in his minor league career. Part of that is due to multiple injuries. He hit only three homers in 90 games this season, so the power outburst on Friday was a sight for sore eyes. He hit .218/.310/.320 for the Mets’ Single-A St. Lucie squad this year.
