Braves signed RHP Justin Maese to a minor league contract.
Maese, a third-round pick of the Blue Jays back in 2015, became a minor-league free agent earlier this offseason after posting an underwhelming 4.75 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 63/30 K/BB ratio across 53 innings (33 appearances) with High-A Vancouver in Toronto’s system last year. The 25-year-old righty will give the Braves some additional organizational pitching depth this season.
