27-year-old Matt Clark hit his first big-league homer Wednesday in the Brewers’ win over the Marlins.
Clark, a 2008 12th-round pick of the Padres, was making his second major league start at first base after being called up on Sept. 2. The Brewers don’t have a lot to lose by trying some younger players right now, so Clark could get another start Thursday against right-hander Nathan Eovaldi. NL-only leaguers may want to pick him up.
