Braves prospect Moises Hernandez allowed three runs in an inning Wednesday in his debut for Single-A Myrtle Beach.
Felix’s older brother had a 1.93 ERA and a 34/13 K/BB ratio in 32 2/3 IP for low Single-A Rome. Hernandez, 21, was the Braves’ compensation for the Orioles’ signing of Leo Mazzone. He’s never been looked at as much of a prospect, but perhaps there’s a chance he’ll make it to the majors as a reliever.

Mariners re-signed RHP Moises Hernandez to a minor league contract.
The older brother of Felix Hernandez, Moises will remain in the Mariners’ organization despite posting a 6.66 ERA in 32 appearances at the Double-A level last season. He’s merely organizational depth.

Braves acquired RHP Moises Hernandez from the Orioles as compensation for pitching coach Leo Mazzone.
The 21-year-old is the older brother of Seattle’s Felix Hernandez. Moises had a 3.08 ERA and a 56/24 K/BB ratio in 52 2/3 IP for short-season Single-A Aberdeen this season, making seven starts and four relief appearances. He’s not regarded as much of a prospect, but if any team can turn him into something, it’s probably the Braves.

Moises Hernandez picked up his eighth win for Single-A Myrtle Beach by allowing two runs in eight innings on Thursday.
Aided by working in a great environment for pitchers, Felix’s older brother has a 3.06 ERA in 11 starts. He’s allowed 67 hits, walked 19 and struck out 40 in 67 2/3 innings. At this point, the 23-year-old still looks like a long shot to make it as a reliever.

Mariners signed RHP Moises Hernandez to a minor league contract.
Moises, the older brother of Felix Hernandez, didn’t pitch at all in the minor leagues last season and has never been regarded as a promising pitching prospect. But, hey, now he can spend spring training in camp with his sibling. And that’s pretty much all this is. The 26-year-old right-hander has not enjoyed success above the Single-A level.
