Last night reports swirled that the A’s were close to trading first baseman/outfielder Brandon Moss to the Indians.

No deal is done yet and now Jane Lee of MLB.com says Moss going to Cleveland isn’t a sure thing. However, it does sound all but guaranteed that Oakland will be trading Moss somewhere. (National reporters like Jayson Stark and Ken Rosenthal agree.)

Moss is due to make around $7 million via arbitration and had a horrendous second half while playing through a hip injury that eventually required surgery. He was great in the first half and overall finished with 25 homers and a .772 OPS to go with a .232 batting average.
